    Near bar and train

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Easy access and it’s located in the towncenter. We have not checked in advance but towels were not included. Wall between rooms are very thin. We heard many mobile notification sounds from the next door.

  • Engine customer May 2026

The dormitory room has so many people in it with zero sound insulation. A lot of the guests did not care about maintaining silence and used their phones without headphones or spoke

  • Engine customer May 2026

    The Twin room smelled mouldy.

  • Engine customer May 2026

There might be a mold issue (smelled of it) and the walls are thin. The hostel was kept clean except for this issue, but it was still really bothersome.

I loved where Umikaji was situated. It's 10min walk away from Kokusai Dori and the Palette Kumoji shopping mall. The supermarket is at the basement and I ended up getting ready made meals there. You can't ask for a better location and it's only a few mins walk after getting off at Prefectural Office station from the Nara Airport station, and you can skip the taxi. Gorgeous view too once you head up to your room after checking in. There's a decent amount of privacy - you get a black curtain (though a light suggestion is to make the curtain less see through) to do your own thing, go on your phone, relax or sleep. There's even your allocated locker to store valuables and super easy to use. Plenty of ample space for your luggage and no need to pay extra to store - unless you wish to. For the price, it's hard to criticise. I loved the cosy common room, the tatami mats to sit on and the hosts were kind enough to offer unlimited tea, coffee and water in the area. If you can read Japanese, the mangas are an absolute highlight of the space provided. Cleanliness is maintained everyday. Honestly I would not hesitate to stay here again - but having my own room in future. I stayed in a dorm of 6 so the quiet and comfort is based on luck. I happened to be roomed with a few inconsiderate guests who made loud noises past 12am, another went as far to use the washing machine at 7am which is supposed to be against the dorm rules. Noticed a lots of guests arriving with huge luggages and did not seem to realise there is no lift - there is a manual lift that is used occasionally if the guest is struggling to either get luggage up or down the stairs. Worth noting this to help you prepare for your stay.

I love how much care and intention was put in to making sure everyone was comfortable! Also the price was great. I only wish there was a stove top burner

Put a ceiling and non-sheer curtains on the beds please.

    Location.

Great location super near Naha Airport, metro, buses, stores and bars. It has a very comfortable living room and kitchen space. We where on the 5th floor with no elevator. For 1 Day it was fine, but maybe something to take into consideration. The bathrooms and showers can get a little crowded, but maybe its expected from a hostal.

Location was great, staff was very friendly and helpful. There were buckets everywhere for the leaning air conditioning. It was inconvenient walking by them in the day or middle of the night to use the bathroom, and the constant dripping sounds were disturbing. The guests were extremely inconsiderate. Perhaps they needed more direction of guidance at checkin because all of the walk ways to the beds were full of people’s bags and clothes, despite having clearly marked areas for them for storage. The guidelines for quiet hours were not followed. People loudly rummaging through their luggage at any hour in the middle of the night. Right outside the almost transparent bed curtain. Shining bright flashlights everywhere. Or others Typing away loudly on laptops when there’s a workspace downstairs. Laundry and shower when you’re not suppose too or they leave stuff in the machines and don’t move it. Could be a perfect place and location with a bit more management to help maintain the flow and order for all the guests to stay and have a better experience.

Just one night stay. Good atmosphere, nice rooftop terrace Walkable but bit far from center

Downtown location, welcoming hang, room to breathe, not cramped, lounge & workspace, kitchen, proper bunk beds, no capsule vibe, I would return.

If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep and shower (and I mean ONLY sleep and shower), then this place could be okay for you. The staff was extremely helpful and nice and the location is good if you want to stay in Naha. I know that this is not specifically the fault of the staff/the hostel, but there were some really creepy people. Some of them seemed to be not that clean, but I guess that is the disadvantage of staying in a very cheap hostel like this... Because of those guests, the hostel overall wasn't that clean and often smelled bad. Furthermore, the beds haven't had real bedsheets, which is unfortunate if the guests overall aren't that clean. Luckily my friends and I had our own separate room so we could avoid some of the creepy people. I guess if you are a woman you should also be fine because there is a whole women only floor. Overall I can only recommend this hostel for people who want to really safe some money and who are fine with a "not that clean" accommodation. Ah and additionally, the wifi wasn't very stable (upload was surprisingly good, but download was at best "okay").

Very cheap and good location. The Wi-Fi quality is not good; it’s very unstable. I couldn’t watch YouTube in bed. It seemed the internet didn’t reach certain areas.

The property is located in walking distance to main spots, and offers a large common area, showers and toilets inside the female dorm, which was very convenient as you don’t have to go to another floor in the middle of the night to use the WC. Our dorm had 4 showers and 3 toilets, 3 vanity mirrors and sinks with blow dryers. We also had our own washing machine and dryer. The common area had 2 sofas, tatami floors with pillows, and multiple tables, as well as vending machines and small kitchenette. The common area was always full as people slept on the tatami floors which I don’t think should be allowed. The combination of dozens of shoes (the racks were between the reception and common area) and people eating smelly foods created a foul smell that had nowhere to go as there were no windows inside the common area for ventilation. The smell was so bad it was unbearable to stay inside, even it you could find space. The curtains of the beds were entirely see through offering no privacy.
