The main issue was the room temperature and the room transfer process. My first room was very warm despite the air conditioner being on, and I started getting a headache. When I requested to move, the process felt a bit uncoordinated. I had to bring all my luggage down, but the new room was actually on the same floor and was still being cleaned when I arrived. It also delayed my itinerary for the day. I also think elevator security could be improved, as it seemed accessible even without tapping a room keycard.

Friendly helpful staff, especially as we had to add extra nights because flights were cancelled due to typhoon. Appreciated special rate given to us for 1 night when we had to extend due to the typhoon, especially considering how busy they were. Wahsing machines, dryers & microwave. Good location and near to monorail & restaurants. Seemed strange that when we had to add extra nights (after typhoon), the reception couldn't do it and we had to make the booking on their website.

I like this hotel, but booking.com has technical issue on their app, it cause me made two same order, but I tried to contact them and report these issues before I checked in, they were willing to help at the first time, but after I submitted my payment details, they disappeared, but I keep contacting several times( over 5 times) and they always disappear after I submit the payment information. I was very disappointed about this platform, but this hotel is nice and good location.

Room sizes, and food options. Less personalized when it comes to reception as its mostly automated.

    Super clean and cozy

The location was nicely situated, away from the main tourist area of Kokusai Dori, so it was quieter on the weekends. It was only a 15min walk to Naminoue beach in one direction or 15 minutes to Makishi Market in the other. 8 min walk from Prefectural Office Monorail Station. I appreciated the local map board, which gave me suggestions on the places to go eat at and sights to visit. Would be lovely if the hotel had an onsen but that isnt a deal breaker. I took a little longer to walk from the monorail station to the hotel because I was unaware that it was on the opposite side of the street right in the centre of 2 road crossing junctions, so I dragged my suitcases a little further than I should have. :)

Location was great Really small rooms

Beautiful, cozy and stylish hotel with Japanese tatami-inspired design. Room was spotless, quiet, and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was excellent with great water pressure. Location is central and easy to access. Our 4yo loved the room with stairs. Staff was kind and welcoming. Not very child-friendly in practice: kids stay free but no breakfast included for kids, nor any paid kid meals available, and no cribs or bed safety rails/gates. English level is limited. Hotel/Breakfast is very policy-driven with a strict 09:30 cut-off; we arrived 6 minutes late and were initially turned away, only getting take-out boxes after pushing a bit. Parking also requires a daily top-up/payment, which is inconvenient for multi-night stays.

Great location 5-7 walks to kukusaidori. A lot of restaurants nearby. Convenientatore right next to the hotel.

He said the reservation was only for 1 person per room … but my booking reservation said 2 bedrooms 4 people

The hotel staff were very friendly in trying to help me resolve an airline issue. One staff member in particular had remembered me and asked me the next day if things were resolved. The room was quite small but expected in any Japanese hotel in a metro area. It was a bit difficult to open my luggage in the room.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and delicious breakfast. There was nothing we did not like about the hotel.

We loved the Japanese-inspired room with its cozy tatami floor — it made the stay feel authentic and relaxing. The big window and comfy sofa were perfect for unwinding after a long day out. The library was a lovely touch, and we even got a great café recommendation from one of the books there. We also appreciated the convenient laundry on the second floor and the self-service luggage lockers, which made our trip so much easier. We didn’t use the on-site parking, but parked at one of the paid carparks on the back street. There were several options nearby, and we had no trouble finding a spot except on Saturday night when the nearby nightclubs made the area busier. This was our second stay at an OMO5 hotel (our first was in Otsuka, Tokyo), and we were just as impressed this time around. Since we hadn’t booked breakfast in advance, we weren’t allowed to sit in the dining area. When we asked about alternatives, the staff only kept saying “no” without suggesting options — even though we later noticed some people enjoying their meals in the library on the second floor. A polite suggestion, like having breakfast in our room or the library, would have been much more helpful.

The family room was too small to even function. Japanese hotels are typically small but our room was just uncomfortable. If you have large luggage then good luck even opening it. Not for us.
