Khweza Bed & Breakfast

Although nervous about noise I asked for a room with exterior window and was rewarded with upgrade to very nice double with French doors onto big balcony. Right over busy road -- interesting, but quiet at night and tons of fresh air, perfect for me (I could have had an interior patio room). Reception staff SUPREMO: all of them sweet and helpful and efficient -- but Susan in particular can read your dopey traveller's mind and sort you before you even start worrying about something (problem or pleasure). Also excellent advice from travel office ("Paris") on site; and super service from Ken/reception-driver. Good breakfast choices and service. Got a LOT out of just a coupla days' stay. Nothing, at the very good price. All good.

Minor things in the room like toilet flushing not working 100 % ok, or bathroom floor getting wet when taking a shower. Restaurant a bit slow for food orders.

Clean in general. It’s convenient to have laundry service (there’s a price list for different kinds of clothes). They have a restaurant on the rooftop. Breakfast was good. The shower was not very stable but it seemed to be like this in Kenya. Some staffs were very nice and willing to help but some were just very cold. I asked the counter to help printing out some documents and they charged me a surprising price at KES 40 per page. Super expensive. I needed the document so I paid.

The breakfast and the staff are superb No fan or air conditioner in the room. And location is a little noisy

The staff was wonderful! The roof top restraint is fantastic. They arranged our tour to Nairobi National park as well. The shower was a bit small.

The staff at Khweza was incredible. They were warm, kind, and very helpful. It was really nice having breakfast on the rooftop. Great value and wonderful place to stay.

This is a cost-effective accommodation option in the heart of Nairobi, staffed by a consistently professional team. In particular, Dan arranged an outstanding—and highly recommended—city tour for us.

The room was full of Miskitos. Water problems have been reported. The breakfast was the only thing I could say good.

Lovely and helpful staff and liked the roof terrace. My small vine bottle went missing and window left open by staff when I was out which of slight concern as was worried about mosquitoes but there was a great bed rr around the bed and saw no mosquitoes

Knees just has a good and friendly vibe. Staff is great and make you feel at home. The breakfast is tasty and fresh. You get a freshly prepared plate which I prefer to any buffet. You don’t overeat and you won’t get sick The noise on the street facing rooms might disturb some people.

It was nice to have a restaurant on the roof top and not have to seek out meals. Staff were helpful and friendly. ABove all.......Peris, the tour coordinator, was our godsend. Because of her, we felt 100% confident in self planning our vacation. She booked us the BEST safari possible, even though it was at budget price. She helped arrange for drivers, booked our train tickets, and answered so many questions. All I can say is if you are planning your own vacation....book with Peris! Budget hotel, however it was clean and had great staff. It was convenient to stay with them before and after the safari they arrange for you. Ask Peris to try to get you John as your safari driver!

At first, the location did not seem very appealing but after a couple days we started to feel more comfortable in the area and may have even enjoyed ourselves a bit when walking around and learning to know the 'other' side of Nairobi. The terrace is certainly a great asset of this place to enjoy your breakfast or an evening meal. It is also an advantage that you arrange trips and safaris around the country - we've visited the Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Centre and were happy to have done so through Khweza. As mentioned above, the surroudings may seem a little discouraging at first. The rest was fine given the price of the room.

Food is good. Had most of my dinner here. Its all in one, food, place of stay with the staff being so friendly. Our walking tour, local and outskirt tours are from Khweza. Not much

We booked a room at Khweza B&B for our first 2 nights in Nairobi and for us it worked out very well. Very easy to communicate with the hotel, they arranged the airport transfer for us and were very helpful in general, making it easier for us to organize the activities in the capital. The room was ok for the price we paid and we enjoyed having a beer (or two :)) on the terrace. It's a fairly busy area, we felt safe but apparently it's better to wait inside the hotel for the taxi when it's dark. We would stay again at Khweza B&B. -
