Nothing - not a single redeeming feature about the property. We were horrified by how unresponsive and unhelpful all staff were and checked out after our first night. Communication - in advance of our stay we e-mailed, text and messaged on booking.com to request recommendations as to how best to reach the accommodation once we had arrived at Pak Chong train station & to also get recommendations for tours of Khao Yai National Park. We didn’t get a single response to any of our communications and it wasn’t the most straightforward location to find - the Songteuw’s went nowhere near here & the taxi drivers hadn’t heard of the name of the property, so some feedback from our numerous requests would have been very helpful! Check-in - once we arrived, there were 4 people sat in what turned out to be a reception area, who all looked confused and surprised that we were there. It was only once one of them had made a call that they were happy to check us in. Nobody could speak English (which was fine, we’re in Thailand after all), but the lady simply walked us to our room, demanded the total sum of money for our stay and left. Cleanliness of room - the room looked nice and spacious on first inspection, but we noticed that the duvet didn’t have a cover on & also had a few stains (I assume everyone that stays just uses the same duvet without sheets…..) and one of the towels had a huge hole in the middle! The bathroom was disgraceful - the mirror was covered in stains (some looked to be blood….), as was the toilet and shower, plus the windowsill had piles of animal faeces on it and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in years! Location - despite only being a 10 minute drive from the main area close to the national park, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere with nothing within walking distance. We tried to request details of taxi’s or bike rental from the resort but this was like banging your head against a brick wall - the people on site couldn’t understand our requests and one rudely shooed us away, plus our messages with this request were also ignored.
