Nagahama Beach Resort Kanon

Huge shower area. Very good beach and snorkelling area - must wear booties - also rashguard or better if you have a wetsuit Very helpful staff. They arranged all of our restaurant reservations and even dropped us off the nearest bus station on our checkout day.

The peacefulness. I forgot it was renovation time but that was my fault for not knowing.

The breakfast was just a set bento box. It left more to be desired given how great the rest of the space was. It was very basic and did not feel in line with the overall positive and luxorious experience.

The Beach is very beautiful The property was run down and half a construction. Our terrace was rotten with nails and rusty irons sticking out everywhere. No sun beds, no food options and no beach accessories available. It was difficult to find someone from the staff, even the reception was most of the time not available. The main pool was dirty and had no sun beds or any other options to sit down.

Location was very good, close to the beach. Very nice view from a House. The aircon was to small and coulnd Keep up to kept cold and was hot during the night and day. We had bugs in bed. Shower was out of order. They gave us different villa then we booked and we had to pay for antoher villa to fit whole family. Water in pool was dirty and there was no deckchairs.

Accommodation was great. The main thing I would like to point out is the swimming and snorkeling opportunities. The beach is very close, about 50 meters and it is good. You need to swim about 200 m to get coral and more animals but for me the swimming is the point. I swan about 3 km every day to the next beach and back. Saw lots of animal. Tide here is about 1 meter so you need to time your snorkeling trip to avoid too shallow water For kids the beach is also great. My 6, 12, and 14 years loved snorkeling there.

The room was very spacious (we were able to sleep 5 across beds and futons, and there was ample space to sit together for meal). There is a ceiling window which allowed us to look at the starry sky at night. The room is also well-equipped with cooking facilities and other helpful items (insect spray). The facilities were a little run-down (probably more suited for visitors who will visit the beach and do not mind washing their swimwear in the common facilities). Likewise, as it is located next to the beach, its location is not the most convenient (requires driving into a 1-way dirt road) and parking space is not ample too. As mentioned in other reviews, there might be some insects (cockroaches, lizards, mosquitoes) due to its location but the property owner did provide insect spray, mosquito coil and fly swatter to deal with these pests.

Beautiful view, clean space, attentive staff. A lot of bugs and lizards, some making their way into the room.

Spacious wooden floor and close to nature and can see the sea from the room Middle of nowhere, no convenience stores nearby and no food provided at the accommodation. Lack of bathroom maintenance - large but poor maintenance and unusable

This is a place best for a group of friends. The room is huge and could be great for a party. The front desk is very helpful. We arrived a bit late but they still helped us find a restaurant with a live performance. It is in the middle of nowhere other than the beach. You have to have all your midnight snacks ready before you come here. It's a drag if you have to buy things in the middle of the night.

A very large bungalow, right next to the beach with a great view. Friendly staff and complementary Blue Seal ice cream, there was some free snorkeling/swimming gear available. You need a car to get there, and there's a lot of trees around = bugs. Jacuzzi was functional but a little old and damaged.

1.) Private beach was fantastic. Lots of space. Very peaceful ?️☀️ 2.) Room was very clean ? 3.) Private backyard was also spacious and quiet☮️. 4.) Staff was very helpful with our questions and very respectful. We did laundry on our last night and the next morning a staff member discovered we left a couple pairs of socks. He even folded them for us ?? 1.) had wifi problems on our phones. Signal is poor however I believe it’s not really the resorts fault. The location is surrounded with beautiful trees. Has a “country side” feel to it.

Quiet location out of town. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. 2 min walk to a quiet beach. Unlimited free Okinawan ice-cream. Slightly dated. Had ants in the kitchen but it’s to be expected with the location. Had a good view of but could not access beach directly from the room had to exit the resort to reach it.

helping the check-in procedure while we were having a unexpected delay. and allow a slightly late check out ( because the kids cannot wake up on time after medicine due to flu. high price during peak season ? not easy to find at night ( even with gps)

It's a quiet, nice location, with a wonderful beach, ideal if one wants to escape the crowds. The house itself is comfortable with great views, and the hosts are always seeking to help. Free icecream and welcome/farewell gifts make an extra plus. Without a car, a bit tricky to explore the area, given its remote nature.

The staff was so kind and helpful. The free beach rentals were great!
