I was very disappointed in having to pay city taxes twice…I paid booking.com when I paid for room and then the hotel also collected for city taxes… seems like you owe us a refund.

Great location! Breakfast

There was nothing I did not like.

Location, stayed from Saturday-Monday. It is near a busy street so we heard lots of noise at night. The facilities could be cleaned better/ checked regularly as we noticed mold on the shower curtain as well as the base of the curtain in our room.

It was close by to what I needed to see. It was small.

Staff is friendly and hotel is clean, location is good. Main locations (port or main streets) is 20-25 minute away. Hotel back around is seem dangerous, but not afraid, front is good ? facilities and totally hotel is old in my opinion.

The property had a great location. We were able to walk from the train station to the hotel. The rooms were clean and recently renovated. The property had an elevator. Bathroom was a good size and a nice comfortable bed We felt safe in the property as there was a 24 hour door person. We also had a small balcony which was nice to open and look out. The elevator was small, and we had to wait a couple of cycles as other people were also waiting to use the elevator. Staff was not overly friendly.

Location was good, nice restaurants close by There is no door in the bathroom. Breakfast was low quality and served at outside cafeteria (this was not informed when I booked and payed)

Very good location and accessibility

Location is good (couple minutes from the historical centre of Naples). Price was online with the standing of the hotel. We were not inform that the hotel restaurant was closed and we had to take breakfast at the nearby coffee shop. Rooms were a bit small and old dated decorately wise.

Second visit to Hotel Ares in a year --> almost like returning home. Simone and Orlando was as gracious and helpful as always. Hotel location is exceptional --> we walked almost everywhere we wanted to visit. Equally accessible to Napoli Centrale train station and Naples subway (Duomo station.) In-hotel breakfast is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance/upgrades but we received vouchers for a cafe/bar just down the street.

Quite a good hotel & good value for money. Good location and friendly staff. Two minor issues: a bit noisy due to very close to a main road; 2) a bit poorer breakfast due to outsourcing to a neighboring coffee shop

Good location Generally very clean, staff polite. Rooms very small, shower cubicle tiny. I am 62kg and I found it small. We booked bed and breakfast 8 weeks prior to our stay 13 to 16 April. When we arrived they told us they no longer serve food on the premises and breakfast would be in the cafe next door. The cafe next door was small, 3 tables and the menu was , 1 drink, 1 croissant and 1 slice of bread with either meat or cheese. This is not what I paid for ...the boy in the cafe was rude and when I asked for toast he said no bread or butter. I reported this to the hotel manager who went over to talk to him. He said he would make it for us tomorrow, however same thing happened again. The hotel should have notified me prior and given me the option of a refund on the breakfast part so I could go to a cafe where I could get a decent breakfast. For this I would say do not book this hotel.

The hotel had issues with providing breakfast so we were given a voucher for a cafe next door. This meant a very restricted choice whereas we were expecting a buffet. The property itself is dated and on the edge of a poor area which we ventured in to by mistake and not recommended.
