Santa Caterina B&B

This is a room in a flat on the 7th floor. The views are great. The room is lovely and large for Europe. The lift is a bit scary at first but once you get used to its eccentricities it is better than the climb. This review is weird as it shows us there for 2 nights whereas it was one night. Now we know why we paid 2 nights of occupancy tax. The checkin is a bit dodgy. The exterior gate is a bit eccentric but eventually we got in when someone exited. The gate to the elevator and building entrance was more of a challenge as the code they gave us did not work. That being said they were very responsive via whatsapp and eventually we got in with another code. My wife took the lift but i climbed. The lift did not open on arrival. Upon reaching the 7th floor i managed to get the lift door to open. The keys are not obvious. I believe it said they are inside the black window. This window is actually a grilled window above the door.on the right and the keys lay on its sill. When there is no one there to meet you on arrival, it is a challenge, especially after a long flight and a journey from the airport.

Breakfast was sufficient and staff was nice, with marginal English. The WhatsAp contact was helpful though. Neighborhood was quiet at night, but in an older dark area, hard to walk around. Hard to get to from the Ferry Dock and taxis in general, no where near a bus stop either. You can walk to the better areas, but streets are rough and walk back uphill long. OK for some, but not recommended for elderly or strollers. The Keys to gates/elevators/doors all were hard to make work each time. The room uses "Triple Deluxe" but is actually small and the balcony unusable. Shower was extremly small

Lovely comfortable space! Fantastic view. Great breakfast and friendly servers. Was difficult to initially access the property and then to get taxi to come and take us to train station. Independent access is difficult the first time when there are four access points.

Clean and friendly staff I had to limb mountains to get to the location from the bus location R on arrival. Departure was all downhill from there. But, all together clean as friendly staff.

Check-in process was not explained before arrival, we could not make a phone call because our phones were on a data only plan for tourists, and we had to wait outside for 15 minutes before another guest arrived. Other than the worry that caused, our stay was lovely.

The B &B is part of a much larger building in a narrow street. It is within a 10-15 min walk of public transport links for getting to Pompeii and the sights of Naples. The breakfast was lovely. It is difficult to find/ gain access and check-in is keyless. The host sends information by Whatsapp about how to get in; it would be good if this was sent at least 12 hours in advance so it was readily to hand on arrival.

Great location, away form the centre but walkable to all main areas and train station. Views from the balcony over the bay of Naples are superb. all very good

The view from the balconies is beautiful and the property is well serviced, kept very clean and with a nice breakfast option. It’s a great value for money and we really enjoyed our stay. The only reason I don’t rate it even higher is because we booked a sea view room, but we did not really have a sea view from our window. However the view was still nice and the main balcony is always available to sit outside and take beautiful photos of the harbor and Mt Vesuvius. It is a bit difficult to get to, compared to some other locations, as it is at the top of the steep hill that makes up the Spanish Quarter and not located next to a bus or metro. However there is always the option to take the funicular nearby or to take a taxi. If you walk everywhere like us, it’s just a longer journey home uphill, but it’s not a deal breaker.

Lovely place located very close to the city center. Friendly and helpful staff. The view is just amazing, it's definitely worth staying there. Cozy, clean, and well equipped rooms. Building itself - old Italian classic, you will feel true experience.

The view is amazing!!! The buildng itself is nice, tidy, you feel like a local resident. Safe area, close to every sights, good continental breakfast. Room is functional, clean. -

We recently had the pleasure of staying Santa Caterina B&B. and it was a delightful experience. The staff (Victoria) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction at breakfast. The clean accommodations and exceptional gulf of Naples view from the room balcony, made my stay truly Magical and Sparkle. The Fireworks display on my birthday really enhanced my stay even more. Last and not least, the hotel’s prime location made exploring the city a breeze. Highly recommended!”
