Hotel Vergilius Billia

The hotel services, including cleaning, staff, and the complimentary breakfast, met my expectations. As a solo traveler, I found the location very convenient, as the hotel was just a few blocks from the Plaza Garibaldi train station. This allowed me to easily connect to various trains and catch a ferry to visit the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, and Positano. The Plaza Garibaldi train station also featured a shopping mall with beautiful clothing and a wide variety of food options to suit different tastes. The small safety box does not fit my computer.

Great location to the train station about a six minute walk at the most. Great breakfast selection with amazing pastries, eggs, and fruit. Short taxi ride to and from Naples International Airport. Many shops and dining options within a two to five minute walk outside the hotel near the train station and around the corner. It is unsafe to wear jewelry in this area. As we walked near the hotel about 4 minutes away a man grabbed my wives necklaces on her neck and cut here neck badly but did not get the necklaces and I had to fight him off and he ran liked a coward away! Lots of crime in this area, be careful and do not wear a necklace!

On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options, and the hotel’s location was perfect and very convenient. If the reception service improved, this hotel would offer a much better overall experience.

Hotel is nice clean perfect location I have nothing bad to say about this hotel

They charge 5 euro per bag, if you want to leave it with them after the check out, even if it is just one hour. All we had were small backpacks, and no exception was made, as if we had one big suitcase, it would cost 5 euro, and with 4 backpacks, it costs 20 euros. Really disappointed.

Staff very friendly, rooms very comfortable, small but normal for Europe size standards.

My room was clean and organized. The elevator was very helpful for a senior like me. But the best part of this hotel is the really wonderful staff, from the front desk, people to the waiters in the restaurant to the people that were cleaning in the rooms. Had a smile in a kind welcome. I especially appreciated the friendly conversations I had with Salma at the Front Desk. She is truly a gem. Nothing really. When I first got to the room, and the air conditioner would not work for me. But within 10 minutes there was someone there to show me how to work the remote. So really not a negative. Just really good service.

Breakfast was great! Staff were super nice! I would stay again. Bed was kind of hard. Room is small.

Location There was a large/loud group of students that were loud late into the night and the staff didn’t care to respond to our numerous complaints.
