Great location. Comfortable bedding. Air conditioning was only adequate for the sleeping room, not for the common space or bathroom/toilet.
-
Wonderful staff, very welcoming. Excellent meals and peaceful rooftop onsen.
-
The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the onsen was lovely. Breakfast was lots of food, and they offered beverages and snacks. Locations was convenient to sights, and parking was available on site. The rooftop area was closed due to recent storm, so I was disappointed not to be able to enjoy that.

Prime location, excellent service

Quiet & lovely ryokan, with attentive staff. Washing machine was a wonderful addition.
-
The staff was wonderful and the Japanese breakfast was copious. The overall ryokan was run down and the carpets were really dirty.
-
We slept in two different rooms - the luxury one was really amazing. The onsen was was nice albeit nothing exceptional. The dinner was really worth it and was very special.

The staff was amazing! It was raining when we arrived - they met us at our taxi and took our luggage inside. Everyone was so friendly. We stayed in a room with the traditional futons and tatami mats - very cool experience. We used the private onsen, and one of us was brave enough to use the public onsen! So relaxing and great for sore muscles. Ice cream at night was a nice bonus! We loved everything about our stay here!
-
Many things and really liked to be submerged into Japanese culture. Also having the name of the guests carefully written on A huge papyrus like style at the entrance was really cool.
-
Friendly and very helpful staff. That they couldn’t provide breakfast reservations for all guests.
-
Amazing location near everything. The family room was perfect with two teens. Incredibly spacious and nice to have a kitchen. The onsen was nice especially the outside bath; just too bad we couldn’t see the pagoda since it is under construction. The staff were incredibly professional. Nothing

Excellent presentation in a private room with a summary of the dishes, in addition to a photo sheet with description. Delicious! Drinks in the lobby area. Room was spacious. Enjoyed the open-air bath All good
-
Professional services, and kind staff. Facilities are clean and Japanese modern style which I loved it! I hope it would be a bit less cost, so I can come back more.

The property is fairly old. And so was our room. For what we paid, the room was small, uncomfortable and below standard. The so called “city view” was of 2 buildings and a parking lot. Certainly not what we expected. Dinner was ok but we had better throughout our 3 week trip in Japan. I would not recommend this property nor would I stay here again.
-
Great, deliberately planned spaces! Classy while being child-friendly. Location was excellent for walking around town!
-
Very convenient as both Nara Park and restaurants are within walking distance. None.
-
Nice room in the traditional style. They also give you pajamas. Nothig

The staff was amazing! This place also has a wonderful multicourse dinner that we really enjoyed. I loved that there was a meal for my 9-year old child with many familiar foods as well as some new things for her to try. The highlight was the onsens - we took advantage of the private bath so that we could have an onsen experience as a family. But the public baths were also lovely, clean, and relaxing. Excellent location! The Japanese style breakfast was new to us so we struggled to enjoy it at first, but by our third and final morning we were able to appreciate the traditional fare.

The was an excellent location for exploring Nara on foot … the Japanese-style room was wonderful … the temperature of the outdoor onsen was perfect … and the staff was attentive and helpful To me the property seemed a bit dated, and the gardens on site looked in need of a spruce up … the front waterfall garden could be lit up at night
