great food! Everything is in Japanese. Use of clickers for lights, A/C, and massage chairs is trial and error for non- Japanese speaking guests. Other than that annoyance, everything was great!
-
Onsen with waterfall view. Comfortable room. Many amenities provided in room and onsen. Lovely staff. Nothing

Dinner and breakfast

Comfortable stay, great food and amazing service! The staff were all lovely! They had a service to bring us to the bus station and it helped us out a lot. You need to know a bit of Japanese to communicate with the staff but they do their best to understand
-
Also, there is some screens setup among different guests in the dinning room, so we have privacy when having breakfast and dinner. Nothing.

Overall everything was fine, the staff amazing and welcoming No western breakfast for foreigners

Cozy and comfortable ryokan. Service was exceptional. Overall really pleasant experience.

Nice staff service, onsen is good yet need some improvement on the catering service.

Like the team, helpful and kind. No outdoor private bath.

Everything was wonderful! Our room was so comfortable, every meal was magnificent, the onsen was so relaxing and the staff were friendly and could not do enough to help us. There was nothing to dislike.

The staff were super friendly and tried their utmost to make the stay wonderful. The meals were included and the dinner was simply fantastic..we ate everything and it was an extensive assortment of delicious treats! It was located within easy walking distance of the bus stop, which was only 40 minutes ride from the Nasushiobara Shinkansen station, so access was easy. We spent the next day doing walks and hikes further up the mountain which was easy to get to. The private onsen was nice, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay great. All good.

the staff here are very friendly and helpful. As I caught a cold before I arrived at Jizaiso, I wasn’t feeling too well and kept coughing. the in charge suggested I try out some medication that he prepared for me and if by tomorrow I am still not well, then may have to go to the nearest hospital. miraculously, I get so much better after a day medication and he prepared another day of medication, then I completely recovered. nothing

Very nice onsen! Old but very traditional style Food was very good but maybe not quite as good as other onsen hotels we've stayed at for this price

Overall, the stay here was really nice. It is clearly a small onsen hotel - operated by a group of old people. They would try their best to assist you with whatever you need, The dinner and breakfast were traditional and stunning. None. I love everything that this hotel provided us.

The rotenburo is really nice and has a good view. The rooms are cosy as you'd expect from a Ryokan and the staff are very nice. I particularly liked the free snacks they provided in the room, small perks. Nice tea options in the room. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I would appreciate an air humidifier or a proper heater that doesn't let the air dry as much. Somehow this is more of an issue for foreigners than Japanese people.
