Hotel Ilion

Ilion was fantastic! Just a few steps from a calm beach with good restaurants, in a quiet street with parking spots and walking distance from main Naxos Chora area. Rooms are spacious, clean, and every floor has a small kitchen where you can help yourself with practical things like glasses, wine opener, plates. Sofia is amazing, dedicating her life to making her guests at home. She was there every morning serving a delicious breakfast and ensuring guests had fresh eggs and warm toasts. Looking forward to another stay! Honestly nothing, everything was great!

Could not have been happier without our stay at the Ilion. I wasn't quite sure about the location when I booked our room, but we were so happy being close to the beach as opposed to in the middle of the chaos in Old town. Sofia, our host, met us at the port and each and every morning with a big smile. In addition to providing a beautiful breakfast spread every morning, she even produced a walking stick for my friend who had injured her knee. It was an easy walk into Old Town, but if you just wanted a calm dinner on the beach, there were plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a market. Would not hesitate to recommend the Ilion. The beach lounges were all available for a charge which seemed excessive.

Sofia, the owner was warm and welcoming and she served a fantastic breakfast. The hotel is very close to a very nice beach. I would recommend the Ilion and I would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Ilion was perfect in every way! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Beautiful and spotless room with all the amenities you could ever need, including an outdoor patio with a view of the ocean. You are just steps from the beach to soak up the sun in a lounge chair or watch the sunset! Sofia is a treasure as a host. She is warm and friendly and made us feel at home through our stay. Her homemade breakfasts are incredible and such a treat to see what she has prepared each morning. Our five day went too fast! Thank you, Sofia for the warm hospitality. That we couldn’t stay longer!

I would say that the location and cleanliness were both exceptional. The view from our room was lovely and we had a little balcony, the breakfast at the hotel was very delicious and a great assortment. The owner is extremely friendly and we were there during a shoulder season so she said we did not need to check out until our ferry time which was early afternoon. We were very appreciative of this.

The location was perfect. Family run business. I am very happy we booked this. The owner was so kind and really helpful! Most guests were return guests. I myself would go back in a heartbeat. The breakfast was great. The property and rooms were immaculate!

An impeccable property! It’s superbly situated seconds away from the beach and about a 15 minute walk to the port and the old town. And Sophia’s breakfast spread is spectacular!

Breakfast was excellent. The location is excellent as it is right on the beach. It was very clean and there were no problems with the facilities. The owners were very helpful. It was an excellent value and we will stay there on future visits... The rooms were a bit small but completely adequate.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the beach and the town center. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. Above all, the owners were truly amazing – extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. Their warm hospitality made us feel at home. Nothing – everything was perfect.

Owner is very warm and accommodating, however limited English. Small family-run hotel that was there long before the trendy places were built just in front on Agios Giorgios beach. All the mod conveniences--mini-split, nice but small bathroom. Just a good feeling here and a side view of the sea from our little balcony.

Everything about this hotel is amazing, especially Sophia! We showed up earlier than check in and were taken to our room immediately. The room was clean and had everything you need for your stay, kettle, fridge and most importantly AC as it was very warm while we were there (June). The room also had a small balcony with a table and chairs. Each morning for the included breakfast, there was an assortment of foods from fresh made eggs, ham, cheese, breads, yogurt and a wide variety of home made foods. We would often see Sophia in the kitchen preparing the night before. We have stayed in many hotels where the breakfast was included but this was the best we have ever had. The location is maybe a minute walk to a fantastic beach. Many restaurants/bars located a short walk away and approximately a 10 minute walk to Naxos Town. Thank you Sophia for a wonderful stay. Sophia, the owner, was lovely and she is an excellent chef. Each morning there was something different that she prepared and everything was delicious.

Location was excellent; Breakfast was excellent; facilities were cleaned daily; Sofia and her staff were wonderful!
