Jiufen The Ore Inn

Room was clean, with decent space and couch area to put luggage and stylishly furnished with a TV. It's located in a quieter corner of Jiufen so you're away from the crowds and sets you up well to enjoy Jiufen at a slower pace without competing with tourist crowds as much. Downside is that if you get off at the Jiufen Old Street bus stop, you have to walk 15min to the hotel through the busiest streets with your luggage (for us, in torrential rain), so recommend getting off at Daganlin stop BEFORE the stop. Highly recommend the restaurant 佛跳牆 which is just around the corner and a hidden gem. The main door is unlocked using a code and hotel door through a QR code so it's quite convenient, as long as you have internet We were asked to check-in later than the check-in time as the staff member just arrived, and the door code given didn't work initially. The shower head holder broke while we were there but it looked like a freak incident. You needed to go through the shower to get to the toilet, which was a bit annoying when wet. No toiletries are provided by default but can be purchased.

The view was fine, but it wasn't the ocean view I expected. It was still very nice! The shower situation was a bit messy - it was hard to keep the water contained.

There isn’t parking or clear instructions for drop off available. We had light luggage so it wasn’t so bad going up the stairs

Great location and comfortable rooms!

Exceptional

Staff were so kind and helpful, we got soaked in the rain and they helped us to dry our shoes. The rooms were really beautiful and cosy too, with stunning ocean views. It was slightly out of the main town, which was perfect for us, and only a 5 minute walk into the main area.

Amazing location right at the end of Juifen Old Street. The building had a very cozy feel and the amenities were great. Free tea, coffee, and snacks were always available. It was a wonderful stay.

Nice view, although mainly from bathroom. Friendly Staff. Good location in Jiufen. Spacious room. Dehumidifier provided in room. Black mould on bathroom blinds etc is pretty bad, needs to be cleaned up It's not good for your health to be sleeping in a space with such mould. Water pressure poor. Also the room needs a few more hooks for towels and raincoats etc. Pillows not great. We had a bit of noise from group staying in the room next door and from reception area which was right next to our room. Also room is oriented the wrong way, so the best view is when you are sitting on the toilet! When in bed you just look over at a kind of ugly building across the road.

Whether you come by public transport or drive there, the bus stop or parking lot is a bit of a distance from the hotel, and the walk can be tiring, especially with luggage

The staff were incredible, my bag was left on a bus and not only did they track it down for me over several days they also made a special trip to collect it from the terminal and bring it to the hotel! Thanks again to the team!

Great location and friendly staff. The room is cute and unique. To have any privacy, everything had to be closed up.
