This hotel is old and tiny. We booked a high floor and were placed on the eighth (of 14) floor. The room itself was tiny, barely bigger than the bed, and the single, office-type, chair was old, with flaking and peeled vinyl. The room only had blinds, no curtains, and the blinds did not block the light which meant we were awakened when the sun rose each morning. The AC unit was enclosed in a cage, so the controls were inaccessible. It was set to 64 so we froze the first night. There was no closet, only a small freestanding cheap cabinet with no lighting so finding anything inside it was nearly impossible. In the tiny bathroom, the plastic piece that should have kept water inside the shower stall was missing, so taking a shower flooded most of the bathroom floor, and left the bath mat literally soaking/sopping wet - to the point it was not dry the next day. The shower itself was spacious and the water pressure and temperature were good. Those are the only two positive things I can say about our room. We will not be staying here again.

Couches ripped and falling apart, refrigerator, broken and cabinet falling apart will not stay here again

Lobby was well maintained, my room on arrival refrigerator had food left in it. Therefore room was not thoroughly cleaned. The pool hours does not make sense. It was closed from 12p to 5p in the middle of the day.

Very nice and welcoming front desk team. Everything else was terrible. Housekeeping was rude and nasty. The room was disgusting. The shower leaked. Everything smelled. Elevator slow and crowded because it was slow. The price was just insulting for the quality or lack thereof.

The room was fine but we had to go hunting to find a working ice dispenser. If you don’t mind getting some steps in, happy hunting!

The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the beds were comfortable. The only surprise was the 20% surcharge on dinner for four at the restaurant. It was separate from the tip. Perhaps it’s a city thing. We would have just preferred to see the menu prices show the actual cost of the meal rather than have an additional charge at the end. The food was very good though.

I wish to convey to this property how important it is to offer a much more welcoming front staff. Checking in, I was barely looked at. They talked more to their keyboard then to me. It's really important aspect that i blame management. Also, i lost something and when i was looking for it in my room, I lifted the filter of the air conditioner / heater. It was filthy. No wonder I now have an infection and need to be treated. I wish I took a photo but I didn't. I would of uploaded them.

It’s a Holiday Inn in Brooklyn. Pretty much exactly what you would expect

Room was clean but the rest of the hotel was not, specially around elevators, it was very dirty.

Pleasant

This Holiday Inn is outdated and not very clean. We had to change rooms due to our first room smelling badly. The hallways did not appear to be vacuumed often if ever. Our AC did not work and the staff did not respond to our calls to help until the last evening. I could not find an ice machine on any floor that had ice. Thankfully the restaurant provided ice when asked. I have several more trips to Brooklyn in the future but will not be staying at this Holiday Inn.

I enjoyed how quick and easy it was to check in . Clean room . Had a good rest. Thank you

Closer to everything But room was not clean and microwave was not working

It was a good location for me but I felt the room and the hotel needed upgrading. All in room furniture was scratched m. Elevator walls were always dirty.

Location, bed was comfortable Wasn't any hand towels, all bathroom floor got flooded when taking shower,long elevator waiting time,only one was working mostly time..

Facilities although in a worn and tired state. Lack of cleanliness.

Exceptional

The hotel was filthy. I left a day early, the manager was helpful with issuing a refund but the lack of sanitary conditions and cleanliness was completely unacceptable. I also spoke with another guest in the elevator who had to change their room twice due to the same issue.

This just didn’t give hotel it's more of a motel and an old one at that.. I'm big on cleanliness and it's giving rush job cleaning. The front desk and valet staff are friendly and amazing, just the housekeeping are rude. I just dislike my whole experience here I do not recommend this one to anybody, it’s not clean at all, ain’t no dusting going on so if you have allergies this is not a place for you. The worst part was my first night I kept flipping these little black things didn’t know what they were, found out it was bed bugs you could see with your actual eyes and I took pictures and done a review on google.. Someone had done a review on and my exact room 818 was reported before about bed bugs 😩 and they’re not treating it, they still will rent it out. The whole room was fifty the sheets and comforter was off white instead of white, bathroom wasn’t clean, carpet was super dirty that you would need house shoes. Went to the front desk demanded a different room and was told 30 minutes, I waited a hour and 30 minutes in the lobby and the manager finally moved me to another room. Which was clean as it should be but once again the whole hotel needs extermination, I’m laying down watching tv and some bug it looked similar to a roach was crawling on my pillow,flicked him somewhere and then seen and killed maybe two more bugs after that.. Horrible experience and didn’t get a accommodations or anything to fix this experience, still paid full price as if nothing happened…
