Julia is the best Hostel Receptionist in NY!

Quiet room with lots of privacy. I was worried it would be too warm in the NY heat wave, but the AC kept it quite comfortable. Morning bagels and fruit were a great perk. The kitchen was small and not particularly clean. I choose not use it.

Its location and easy access to transit. It was uncomfortable, filthy, and overpriced for what it was.

the place is at a very good location, direct next to the central park. It has easy access to subway which will bring you to the city center. Now far away, you can find the M60 bus to LaGuardia Airport. The neighborhood was also nice and peaceful. The room was clean and the bed is fully enclosed with great privacy. There is no elevator, the old AC unit is quite loud, with the door closed, you barely get any fresh air in the cabinet. The free breakfast is barely minimum, not much to offer.

It’s right next to Central Park which made for a great day out! I don’t have anything bad to say considering what I paid and what they have to offer!

Terrible place

Out of all the options that are available in the area this is the best you can get. As for the hoStel, this one is actually very nice! Very close to central park, very close to subway, very close to other places that you might need like a grocery store or places to eat. Overall would recommend it for several days, rooms are small, but you get your 'private' space (as shown on the pictures) with lights and plugs inside, which makes the experience quite nice. Overall, would recommend for a several nights!

The staff were amazing. The location was great, just three blocks from the subway. And half a block from Central Park. The bagel and fruit breakfast was a bonus.

Breakfast was basic - and unfortunately not available on a few of the days at least not at the advertised time of 7:30am as stated at check in. The showers had really no room to put things down (no bench etc). The fact that breakfast didn't seem to be a vailable on a few of the days at the time stated.
