Penny Williamsburg

This is a great boutique hotel. It’s well taken care of and a fun place to stay. The rooftop bar/restaurant has amazing views. It’s in a great, central location in Brooklyn.

Stylish, modern hotel, friendly staff, clean room & good location. We really enjoyed the rooftop & garden outdoor options too. We’ll be back!

Cutely styled and very convenient hotel. The room was quiet and well-decorated, and felt more like a home than a hotel. Huge window with a great view of the courtyard. There were tons of terrific details, and the roof lounge space and patio are spectacular. Just some damaged (stained) carpets in the hallway were a distraction. Fun and charming.

Clean room, love the coffee set up! Super easy walkable area as well.

The rooms were a bit dark and dreary and hallway carpet was stained, but the staff was fantastic and I enjoyed the rooftop terrace.

Love staying at the Penny every time we visit family!

Needs a nightlight in the room because its too dark & dont want to turn on all the lights just to go to bathroom

WiFi was terrible! Was there for business and had to leave to respond to emails. Never again

Great smaller property with good central location. Restaurant has great views and a good atmosphere. Room was a little smaller but I was there to enjoy the city so as a landing spot it was perfect size for my needs.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice.

Everything Nothing

Every time I’ve visited Williamsburg I’ve stayed at the Penny, and it’s a wonderful stay each and every time, Super convenient, super quiet, friendly and helpful staff, and very clean and cute. It’s a gem!

A great little find. We only stayed one night, since we were just passing through New York on a 24 hour layover, but we loved it and want to stay there again. The place has a fun and funky boutique hotel vibe that we loved. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean and well-appointed. There are a lot of nice touches; for example, in the hallway there's little shelves next to the door to your room for you to set things on (like a cup of their really good coffee, which is complimentary) while you get your room key from your pocket. It's in a nice part of the Williamsburg neighborhood and there are several bars and restaurants within walking distance (we liked The McCarren.) The hotel was only 18 minutes to Laguardia by Uber.
