The Blackbutt Hotel is a suburban delight offering local pub hospitality, great food and live entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights. Rooms are located on the 2nd floor above hotel with access via elevator. All rooms have their own ensuite, TV, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, iron and board, some rooms have a desk. Room service is available during restaurant hours. Parking - is located across cul de sac at the rear of hotel with entry via basement of the hotel. Reception - can be found in the one stop shop with newsagent, post office and bottle shop from 6am to 8pm Monday - Saturday; Sunday 7am - 8pm. Check in outside these hours needs to be pre-arranged. We are a short drive to the John Hunter Hospital, Hunter Stadium, Newcastle Entertainment Center and Westfield Kotara. Parking spaces cannot be booked. It is first come first served.

Great Queen size room, even though above hotel it was very quiet, very clean and had everything we needed. The check in staff were great. took us out to show us how to get to the parking area, which is behind the hotel in a separate parking lot Dinner was really good and value for money, as was breakfast, and the hotel is close to John Hunter Hospital, so convenient. Would definitely stay again. Whilst booking.com advise room comes with one parking spot, that is not the case. It is first in best dressed. Parking lot is behind the hotel, with limited spaces. You also have to walk across the lane, and down a slope to the hotel lifts. Probably better if you have large/or a lot of luggage to drop bags off at the front of hotel before parking.

Great location with plenty of parking and very clean. You could hear a bit of the pub noise but we did stay at a pub so you’d expect that. Nothing too dramatic though.

Location was perfect . Staff who checked us in (Craig) went above and beyond to show us everything we needed (parking, where to find our room, anything we may need from the Inn). Room was nice and quiet despite being on top of a pub. Blackbutt Inn for food was also great. This will likely be our pick for a weekend stay in Newcastle in future. Nothing not to like .

It was close to John Hunter Hospital, where we needed to be, and it is easy to find. The room was lovely and clean and well maintained.

Quiet & comfortable rooms Curtin's let light in even the sides when shut & room was slightly bright. I really need a pitch-black room.

Great shower, comfy bed, all amenities we're handy Even though I had lots of pillows I would have preferred a softer one, but I understand it's about personal preference
