Yankee Peddler Inn

Very accommodating staff and breakfast was very enjoyable.

The stay was wonderful. We enjoyed the rooftop deck. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to the daytime host and the front desk, sorry I can’t remember her name, but she went over and beyond help us with our luggage, questions about where to eat and things to see. The breakfast was continental but done well. Definitely recommend.

Would definitely stay again

We have never stayed in a historic hotel. I loved that we had the beautiful old building and all the amenities we like in a hotel. Staff made recommendations for lunch and gave us info on what was nearby. It was quite a step back in time to a real key on a brass disc instead of a keycard,

The Inn is in a great location. Our room was cute and very clean. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

Great location Nothing

Great option near many civic amenities and the shuttle to the mansions. Cute and quiet property with a lovely room and beautiful outdoor roof deck. Staff was incredibly helpful in planning our stay. Continental breakfast was simple but good assortment of breads, fruit, yoghurt, and cereal. The parking lot shuffle seemed like it could become tricky but was never an issue for us. (We did park and bike for the duration of our stay). I will note that there is no elevator and if you are elderly or mobility impaired, requesting a first floor room would be advisable and if one is not available, you may want to consider someplace else.

We only stayed one night but our stay was great. The staff was helpful.

We liked the location and the home away from home feel. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was amazing. We had no issues with anything.

We stayed in the efficiency area known as the Carriage House property which is directly next to the Inn. We were on the second floor of the Carriage House and it had a window AC unit that seemed kind of older and was not cooling the air as well as a newer one would. The room and private bath were comfortable and clean. The bed was a little on the small side but was adequate. The highlight of our stay was the central location to everything in Newport, the free parking, super friendly and helpful owners and the super delicious breakfast. There was plenty of food offered including fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, juice and fresh baked goods. Overall a very nice stay. The Inn & Carriage House themselves are old historic buildings so keep that in mind when booking. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is also a bonus roof deck above the 14 rooms of the main house.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the cheese and wine for the afternoons on the roof deck. Room was very clean but basic. Not enough body lotion for showering. Would have like more hot options for breakfast other than oatmeal. Overall very nice property that I would rebook for a future stay in Newport.
