I loved everything about my stay in Happy Star hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful, everything is tidy, quiet area, but good location! Everything is perfect especially for the price!

The downside is that when they clean the rooms, they use an air freshener. Normally, that's okay, but I have an allergy to most perfumes. I didn't mention that, and the air cleared up faster than I expected, so I was fine. Considering that's what I consider to be the downside tells you how great the place is.

Clean room and best hotel ever

Our room was good, although we had to insist on a proper-size room - not the extra tiny one the reception man tried to give us. Our bedroom window opened. Location was great - in a long and winding bike-only alley but on a downtown street and only a couple of blocks from the very center of the beach. The price is very inexpensive - ~ half of eg Da Nang, etc. The area felt completely safe at night (early night for us :) Bathroom with the usual things, leaky here or there, no soap, no beach towel. There is an unobtrusive sign on the street for the hotel but there are about 3 or maybe 4 alley entrances that lead to the hotel, one with a very pleasant sit-down restaurant with tables (and real chairs).

The departure was a little rushed as staff came to the room as I was taking our bags downstairs. But it wasn’t really a problem as I was already outside the room.

If we had stayed here longer, we would have required a bigger room.

Honestly this might have been the cleanest place I've stayed at in Vietnam. The staff was friendly, great location (30 min walking to the train station). They allowed us to keep our bags after check-out until it was time for our night train.

The staff are so helpful, will clean your room every day. Change your towels, when you need. Just a perfect place to stay, I would recommend, Any family, couples, solo... it's a very welcoming place.. Plenty of shops. Restaurants....etc....hot water, ac if you need, the full package hotel...thank you to all staff.? Nothing....perfect.

You get exactly what‘s on the pictures. It was very clean, the staff organized scooters for us. We were in a nice location very close to the beach without having to get an expensive hotel (about 5min walk). We had a nice time. The drain in the bathroom was a bit clogged so we had to kick the water in the right direction to make it go down faster. But really it wasn’t bad at all! I would still stay again.

Free water and location This is not a 9/10 hotel at all! I had booked a “Superior Double Room”. There’s just one photo of the bathroom and unfortunately it only shows the sink and the mirror. But because “shower” was mentioned on the facilities list I trusted that this room would have a shower. For my surprise, when I got in the room I saw that the shower is literally just a wall-douche placed in between the sink and the toilet. There is literally NO SPACE for a proper shower. So the floor would get completely flooded. The photos and listing are very misleading. I complained about that and they changed me to a “Superior Twin Room” which had a “bathtub” but 2 single beds instead of a double bed as per my initial booking. Besides that, the hallway, room and bathroom had a very strong sewage smell every single day. The cleaning was also not great, as you can see there are lots of dust in the fan (it doesn’t look like it has ever been cleaned) as well as moths on the bathroom wall. The hotel could be a bit more transparent about their facilities by adding a proper photo that shows how the “shower” is in the “superior double room”. Also, if you are in the hotel business , the MINIMUM you need to deliver is a good cleaning (not just clean the floor and bed, but remove dust from fan, AC, behind the bed).
