It's a pet peeve of mine when hotels send a million pre-check-in automated emails through these systems but then can't update you about important things during your stay, like the fact that the pool, a main attraction, was closed. It was open in the morning when we left and we altered our day to come back and use it only to find out it was closed with no explanation. Additionally, the front desk concessions were also "out of order" though they seemed to be functioning, so there was no way to purchase a drink on site as they did not have vending machines either. The breakfast was a highlight and the attendees were on top of it.

The rooms were older, the bathroom door didn’t close, and just not nearly as clean as I would expect from a Marriott Property. We found dirty clothing from a previous guest on a chair under the desk, clearly the cleaning crew was not very thorough. Nothing against the front desk Staff, they were all friendly and very helpful.

Great value for a nice room with full fridge & separate bedroom! Staff were super friendly, especially Dorothy who was in charge of breakfast. Also, breakfast was above average. I would definitely stay here again.

Great value! Staff was friendly. Close enough to uber/lyft to downtown. Stayed 3 nights no complaints.

It was a very nice place to stay. It was convenient to the N. Charleston Coloseum, so we walked back from a concert. The breakfast was good.

The property was lovely. Every staff person I encountered was kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was yummy. The coffee was fresh and delicious. I have to have my morning coffee! The pool was very nice. I would stay there again. My only issue was the elevator. There was only one in a large hotel and it was quite busy. This hotel is centrally located to many things including The North Charleston coliseum and the beach.

We were amazed at our room having a full size refrigerator a dishwasher to burner top microwave icemaker it was great

Everyone so was so nice and friendly. The breakfast was great. Close to restaurants and not a bad drive to other places like Mount Pleasant, Downtown Charleston etc. The room was so dark, there was only 1 ceiling light in the kitchen and the rest were lamps around the living room and bedroom. It felt like we were staying in a cave. Soap in the bathroom sink would have been appreciated. It was basic.

We were given a parking pass when we arrived. We weren’t told we’d be charged to park our car in the parking lot until we checked out and it was charged as an incidental. I feel if I’m paying for a room I shouldn’t have to pay to park there as well.
-
The room had a broken soap dispenser and mildew all over the shower, the doors in the stairwells had pieces broken off, there were huge bolts sticking out of the wall on level 2 steps, weather strip falling off and the same trash stayed there our entire stay Wednesday through Sunday. We asked about housekeeping, but we were told we would not get housekeeping for such a short stay. Oh also when we booked, it did not say anything about $10 per day per car parking. I told the lady we did not have a car parked there because we parked offsite and they still charged me.

This by far is one of the best nicest hotels we have stayed in and we travel 20 to 30 nights a year. Everything was perfect.

The room was nice and spacious. It was kind of them to let me check in early. The beds were comfy. Only downside was the room didn't seem to circulate the air well enough because it was hot at night.
