Great hotel and would stay again. Fantastic beds and pillows. Staff were great and the movies by the pool in the evening were good.

Staff were excellent and communicative. Hotel is clean and very cute.

We absolutely love the Garland. Every time we come to Universal Studios this is where we stay. It’s family friendly. Our boys love the Saturday night movie by the pool and the breakfast buffet. We recommend this to any family.

Great food and beverage options on property. Trolley to Universal was very helpful!

Great hotel had a nice stay

It is truly nestled in a neighborhood of Studio city where you would miss it driving by if you didn’t know. It has a super groovy decor and includes everything you need. We enjoyed the pool all day with Its convenient walk up restaurant/bar. The lounge chairs were comfortable, gorgeous and plentiful. Lots of outdoor seating as well with umbrellas and shade. Two Jacuzzi’s were a surprise and the little ones actually loved them. The resort is well manicured and taken care of. It was clean, it was pretty, and it was a very nice time had by myself and my family of baby dolphins 🤓 The staff was friendly and more than available to assist. We had a delicious dinner at The Front Yard - a serious wine lust too.

I’ve stayed there several times when I come to visit Family. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant is excellent. I prefer the Garland to one of the national chains.

Amazing hotel and pool! Would definitely recommend!
-
Lovely pool area and amenities but the rooms were not quite as impressive. We unfortunately got a room on the side of the freeway and the noise was quite loud, which did dampen our enjoyment and we couldn’t really sit out on the balcony. I also put some swimwear out on the chairs on the balcony and received a pretty patronising letter about “ruining the aesthetic”, the message printed on the door just said not to hang on the rails so they might want to make the rule clearer rather than telling people off afterwards. These rooms had a literal view of the car park and freeway so not sure what aesthetic I was ruining.

location was excellent. Shuttle to Universal was great. Vibe of hotel was great. Great for families or people wanting to explore LA We left our swimwear to dry out on the balcony and got a letter through the door saying we weren't allowed to do this. I have never had a hotel say you can't leave your stuff on your balcony before.

My family and I have stayed here many times and we’ve never had a negative experience. Staff are always friendly. The property is easy to access off the freeway, but tucked away and private. Rooms have always been clean and the beds are comfortable. The Front Yard restaurant is consistently good and conveniently on site. There’s also a complimentary trolley that takes you to and from Universal Studios.

Great place to stay for a vacation.

Clean, good vibes, only major downside is how expensive parking was.

Great stay. This is my second time here. Not as magical as the first time here. A/c was very loud—engineering did service but still loud. Breakfast bar was not great. Loved hot tub and pool. Staff is great and housekeeping prompt. Received a weird letter on checkout that really turned me off . I left my bathing suit on patio to dry and there was a letter from manager regarding “not keeping your socks and clothes on patio” “we have laundry facilities”. Thought the letter was rude. I have to dry my suit before getting on the plane. I’ve done this at 4/5 star hotels without getting a letter admonishing me for doing so.

Great hotel located close to Universal and Warner Bros, pool area is excellent with a good menu and excellent staff. Parking cost is expensive
