Parador Monte Carmelo

I already sent my survey but want to add something very important. During the booking process our different credit cards were rejected asking us to contact the hotel to solve the problem. The truth was they wanted full payment in advance. Those are not the conditions on the booking page.

Hello, loved the location and how spacious the room was and cleanliness. The guest services dest gentleman was very nice and helpful. However, the general manager or owner was not at ALL friendly. My mother came to town and needed to use my room to jist change before I checked out. Literally 15 min. ( i had also paid for 2 ppl but my boyfriend could not make it to Oaxaca with me) and shexdid notcallpw that at all. My mom is a 65 year old lady and she was NOT gonna stay!!! This place has a huge problem with evaluating a situation and doing whats good for your guests. I will Never stay here again and its a shame because the location was perfect.

Beautiful inner courtyard with a pleasant colonial atmosphere. Short walk to the zocalo and next to all important historical and cultural sites, yet in a quiet setting.

Rooms and facility were very clean. They provided clean towels and 2 free water bottles each day. Water was also available near the entrance to fill up your containers. Roof top had a great view. Staff was very friendly. Room did not have a.c. but room was always cool or cold. Wish they had ice machine for filling up water containers. Room had a smell like she sheets were not washed but it went away quick or we got used to it, not sure. I think they just use detergent that has no fragrance.

Perfect location - close to everything but not too busy. Beautiful view from the restaurant Our suite was close to the restaurant so there were lights and music until late each night, but it was the holidays and I didn't really have high expectations. Not enough towels - but I like to have extra for my hair or if I want to shower before dinner etc. It would be nice to have bigger floor mats for the bathroom. .

The room was lovely and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom functioned well; hot showers and a magnifying mirror by the sink. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The restaurant needs more options for a vegan like me. Especially breakfast. Options like rice and beans, waffles, avocado toast with fresh sourdough bread would be a good idea.

Location, very close to everything downtown (centro). Also, the terrace was nice to get a bite to eat or drink.

No service I booked the hotel for my two grandmas 70 & 82 years old - No hot water - even after let the tap running for 33min ( which is something totally indecent to do but after a 10hrs bus trip in a freezing bus you do need a shower to warm you ) - same thing the next morning no hot water . No help from the team. Also breakfast 40min wait to get their breakfast no prep been done in advance and they were the only guests in the breakfast area … decided to spend more and move them to a far better hotel Los Amantes where they had the service they deserved.

Location was PERFECT, a close walk to the garden, museum, and other sites. Room was beautiful and clean! Will be booking again here!

Great location. Our room didn't have much light. But it was completely adequate for one night.

Not included. In house restaurant good. Noise at night time and mornings.

Location was good, rooms were cleaned every day, friendly staff. The first picture - the terrace with the sunbeds is outdated and misleading, that space is a restaurant with tables and chairs - not somewhere for guests to relax

Great location and nice rooms I reserved a room with 2 queen beds for 2 adults but they made me paid an extra adult, as the said the reservation said one adult only.. Then they only gave one ticket for breakfast (despite I paid the "extra" adult). Also, when filling the check in form I noticed you can't write the price you are paying, something dodgy going on.

Great location, beautiful building. No information provided in the room about the hotel (such as what time breakfast was, where etc.) There was no where in the room or hotel to chill drinks or get ice. 2 x 500ml of room temp water were provided daily though. Neither of the windows in my room securely locked.
