Rewindhotel is located on the central square along the sandy beach of Oostduinkerke. Some rooms enjoy a lateral sea view. Guests benefit from free WiFi. In season, you can watch the famous fishermen gathering on the square in front of the hotel on horses as they get ready to head out to sea to catch shrimp. All of the rooms at Rewindhotel were fully refurbished in 2015 and are equipped with a smart TV, telephone and mini-bar. Each room has a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower, hairdryer, sink and toilet. Nieuwpoort-Bad is only a 5-minute drive away. The town of Koksijde-Bad is 10 minutes by car from Rewindhotel. Oostende is 30 minutes away by car. Historic Bruges can be reached within a 40-minute drive. The coastal tram line stops 328 feet from the hotel and takes you to nearby resorts.

Views over the beach - could not be more central, at the centre of the main promenade. At the coast tram stop - so easy to use public transport. Very clean and very nice breakfast. No direct parking (as on main promenade) - but staff very helpful in explaining the rather complicated colour system for parking. Easy to stop for 1/2 hour on Main Street around the corner from hotel to transfer luggage - then free parking 10 minutes walk away - never used the car during stay so no problem!

Friendly staff, excellent location, spacious apartment for a family of five, with view to the sea, which is an achievement since the hotel is located on the main square. Going for a demonstration of shrimp fishing is an absolute must. Be it by fisherman on foot or on horseback, it all starts at the waterline just in front of the hotel's square. It is exotic, and it is fun for kids as, they can run around to save little crabs and baby sole fish from the seagulls as the fishermen discard them. The location can be quite loud, there was a beach disco on Friday night (but not on Saturday). With windows closed it was OK, but since there is no air-conditioning, keeping them closed at night during hot days may not be an option. At breakfast, do not hesitate to ask for scrambled or fried eggs because they were not offered proactively, at least to us.

My dad and I stayed over the Shrimp festival weekend and loved it. Breakfast was nice with little extra touches and plenty of choice, rooms were amazing with the large terrace, locations wise was ideal to the sea and restaurants etc. The owners were really helpful and went above and beyond for us. We would love to return!

The stay was very pleasant check in went very smooth. We got a very good explanation of how to get in. Dogs were allowed even at the breakfast table and the people were very nice. The room was also clean and free water was provided at the entrance but you had to bring your own bottle. Overall it was really nice and would recommend it! Also the breakfast was outstanding! The room was a bit hot and there was no airco.
