La Buissonnière

Florence is a wonderful host making the stay very personal with great conversation and recommendations for places to eat and visit.

My partner and I recently stayed at La Buissonnière and had a wonderful time. Florence, the host, is incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the local area has to offer and is happy to provide suggestions based on your preferences. Our double room was incredibly comfortable, cozy, and quiet. Both bedroom and bathroom were very clean, with fresh towels and locally produced organic soap on hand. Breakfast is served every morning from 08:30 until 10:00 and consists of fresh local produce from the bakery and market. Coffee, filtered water, fresh fruit juice, and water kefir were all on offer to drink each morning. At the top of the property is a reading room with beautiful views of both the village and its cliffed backdrop. Nearby, the guest fridge and things to make warm beverages may be found. The B&B is located in a beautiful area (Oppède-le-Vieux) and is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend La Buissonnière to anyone looking for a charming place to stay, with easy access to the nearby delights the Luberon region has to offer.

Fabulous location with beautifully furnished large rooms. Very comfortable beds and good showers. Florence was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area which was very helpful. Great restaurant 100m from the accommodation and another two in the new town about 2km away. We were not aware that our bathroom was across the corridor (it was a private bathroom), however other guests have to walk past our bathroom to get to their room and to get to the lounge area. It wasn’t ideal having this set up, especially at night. Dressing gowns & slippers were supplied.

Beautifully restored property, very comfortable and charming who knew all about the history of this wonderful village . Nothing !

I travel six months of the year, searching for the special, hidden places where nature and human intervention connect. La Buissoniere may be the single most perfect and exquisite example of that I have ever found. By taking an old, abandoned country house and restoring it with a brilliant architect's eye for the precise detail, a masterpiece of rustic simplicity was born. Come here to experience birdsong by day, silence by night. Come here to appreciate the movement of the sun as it lights up a the white walls of room that looks out onto an enchanted landscape. Come here for the privilege of splendid isolation among green hills and flower covered ruins. To appreciate this place, bring an artist's eye and a love of solitude.

Fabulous location and perfect accommodation for our 5 nights stay. The host is so welcoming and provides very helpful local knowledge. Very quiet, clean and comfortable room. We will definitely return if in the region again. We enjoyed the courtyard and plunge pool after a day exploring the region. The breakfast was exceptional with fresh fruit, fresh juice and home made jams. Truly amazing.

Exceptional

The experience in this awesome, beautiful chambre d’hôte was different from the ones with any other accommodation in this trip, thanks to Florence’s hospitality. She really welcomed people, not because it’s business, but because she loves people she meet. You can have her cordially advices where to go, and wonderful breakfast every morning. The quiet and calm surroundings. It locates just in front of the old castle which takes 10 minutes to climb up. I often enjoyed the beautiful sunrise and great scenery of Oppede there. Definitely I’ll be back.

What a wonderful little town and what a nice b&b!! The host Florence is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house is very cosy and stylish. We liked our big room a lot. The surroundings are stunning. A place to cherish.

The house is in the the very center of Oppede le vieux and it is dated back to 17 century, yet fully renovated (inside), well designed and decorated with some art deco pieces here and there. Very nice atmosphere and due to thick stone walls it has comfortable temperature inside even in hot summer days. Our room on the 2nd floor was very comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy. We even got some extra space in the attic to relax and enjoy beautiful views to the village. Our host, Florence, was super friendly and caring, she speaks very good English. She gave us very good advises on places to see and things to do even though it has been our third visit to Provence, we found some new treasures. Breakfast was very good.
