One word...everything! This place was nothing short of spectacular.

The surrounding little town was authentic and quaint. The rooms were big, the property lovely. The included breakfast was really good, you could see the care they put into making it. The road to get up to the property was very narrow and windy. You need to beep as you go around corners to let others know you are coming. We had a big car, so I am sure in a smaller vehicle it would be easier to manage.

It has the cozy view. It was an experience to sleep in a convent. The community and the personnel were very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Kristina and Paula who helped us locate the place and guided us above the convent and restaurant nearby

It is a true hidden jewel! Superbly renovated rooms in an ancient building. Great bathroom. All was meticulously clean. Breakfast was very good for a small place - not the selection of a metropolitan hotel, but that would have been stupid to expect. And the views... oh... mountains, villages, sea. The best views one could imagine. The rest of the village is beautiful, too. There seemed to be some dining opportunities in the village, but not sure about that. Maybe not. The people in the hotel were the most friendly ones we have met in any hotel during our trip. Not very good at English, but really helpful. With some help from Google Translate - no real problem. If you do not feel secure about driving on narrow mountain roads, try to arrive until sundown... which is a good plan anyway - so you can enjoy the beautiful sunset! There is spacious parking lot next to the house, but the access thereto is a bit demanding driving exercise. If, once again, you do not enjoy sharp slopes and turns, you might want to park on the street (ample parking space there as well), but in that case you will have to drag your lugege ca 100m uphill until entrance.

Clean rooms. Clean bathroom. Decent Breakfast. Nice view from the rooms. Large parking space. Quick checkin. On top of a hill. Took some time to find out how to check in. No ACs, only fans.

The convent was exceptional and was fantastic value for money. The setting is incredible, in the hills above la spezia and near to carrera marble. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great, with home made cakes. The restaurant near by focciaria de mauro was also really good. Don't be put off by the reviews about the road and the need for small cars. We were in a largish SUV and it's no problem. Nothing, it was fantastic.

Very interesting place, very nice staff. Free parking. Nice view.

Locals (can't call staff as they are monks living there) are extremely friendly and helpful. The room is clean, has everything needed. Location. A perfect view is caused by location. Need to climb for quite a long time by serpentine. In a night it would not be pleasant at all. The closest restaurant is 1.5 km away in the next village so walking is barely an option.

Beautiful location with a great view! Rooms were big and simply appointed as befits a monestary. The breakfast was good. An added bonus was the local festival happening when we stayed there with local food and drinks! Very welcoming and friendly area! The beds were a bit hard for lighter weight people.

The views are incredible, staff is super nice, the rooms are simple but appropriate for the setting. And the adjacent town of Ortonovo is stunning.

No warm water in the shower

Was in a church, it was epic! Was a bit confusing to find, could include photos on booking.com listing to show the entrance/where to knock!

Beautiful view, amazing experience of calmness and isolation on the top of the world. Great coffee We would appreciate glasses in the rooms and some vegetables for breakfast. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay.

The view was breathtaking, the breakfast was amazing and the room was large, comfortable and spacious. The driveway at night is a challenege for the best.

Sense of hospitality, breathtaking view, delicious breakfast (great coffee and home-made cakes), ambiance, beautiful garden, surroundings. There are many amazing places to discover nearby like Carrara, Sarzana etc. The rooms are spotless, equiped with everything you might need, including moscito nets. It was a pleasant suprise to feel cool inside the building even during the hottest hours of the day during the heatwave. The place is quite unique and worth a detour. Don't be put off by the comments regading the road to the parking, it is perfectly feasible in Toyota Yaris. A special thank to Don Augustino for making your stay unforgettable. Nothing
