Hotel degli Haethey

I never been in hotel so poor with the 4 stars. The bed was extremaly small,one of the light bulb in the room didn't work and the door to the balcony didn't open, the location also is not good. .

Helpful friendly staff. Superb breakfast. The neighbour's dog that sang to the church bell at 6.30pm. Everyone wanting a breakfast cappuccino at the same time from only one machine. (Although not a problem as for us time didn't matter and actually it made a good ice breaker for starting conversations with other guests.)

This is my third time to Otranto and I can say all three of my stays at Hotel Degli Haethey have been welcoming, restful, with friendly and helpful staff, and lovely breakfasts. There is nothing to dislike!

There was no pvt beach access

Location and staff Seemed a little run down

My room was small but clean. It was nice having a balcony. It was a bit out of town near a fabulous beach area. They helped me store my bike securely. Breakfast was generous. I asked for early check in and they wanted me to pay 75 euros. It was not high season so I’m pretty sure they had clean rooms and i thought that was petty. I also wasn’t using the 2nd night of my reservation and told them that so they could possibly resell it.

It was clean good lactation The breakfast was 7.30-10.. if you came at 9 you didnt have anything to eat. They didnt replace the products -the slow or at all. They had only on type of aliced cheese in one trey and if it was empty tee chacea you get another trey was slim even if you ask them. Same with the bacon from scrambled eggs…. The pool was due to open ar 10. At thet time the pool was in the process of cleaning. No bar nothing you can buy something to drink Dinner was a la carte -depending on the evening. No sidedish at main course

I enjoyed the pool after swimming in the Sea. Dated accommodations. They have A/C but it is controlled by the hotel, you have no input or control of f the settings.

Breakfast was poor. Always missing something, including plates A refrigerator that works, stained bed spread, poor service except for one nice young lady who was overworked

Underground parking available, although as it was October there was plenty of street parking. Good size room, plenty of hot water available. Excellent restaurant for dinner, we only ate there once but it was superb. 30€ for 3 courses, the best fillet steak I've ever eaten. The overall impression of the hotel was that it needed a little bit of updating with some luxury items, the room was adequate but lacked frills. There was no tea or coffee making facilities, although reception would make some for you.

Exceptional

The hotel was spotless and the staff were very helpful. The air con had a habit of going off during the night. It was centrally controlled so we had to ask reception on a few occasions to reset it. Tea/coffee making facilities would be a bonus but I would happily stay in this hotel again The air on definitely needs to be monitored but this is a solvable issue for the hotel

Poor and disorganized No bar, no information about hotel facilities ie beach towels, tea coffee during the day . Leaking shower in room 203.Friends who occupied a junior suite were happy with their room -304- were only critical of the breakfast and lack of a bar area and drink facilities during the day time
