Hotel La Plancia

The location overlooks the sea and is a few minutes walk from the town center. It also is across the street from several quiet sandy coves. The owners were very nice an accommodating. Room was comfortable with no surprises.

Beach just few steps across The family is so kind and helpful, they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable Very clean and comfortable nice patio with sea views and plants The son speaks great English and offered great suggestions on activities, line up boat tour or anything else and even offered to collect me from the bus station and drop off that was wow They offer fabulous breakfast They also have a small perfect bar set up in the lounge Great landscaping The walk to centro storico is 25 minutes but such lovely along the sea Some restaurants within 7 minutes Could use some updating, bathroom small, but had good hot shower, not much toiletries, but I always have my own would be nice to have coffee machine and tea kettle in the room. These are not complains, I loved it I extended my stay and would go back

Superb location opposite the beach, but a short walk from the main town. Lovely staff, very helpful and a wonderful breakfast.

Staff and feel of old

People were so friendly and helpful. Location is great, right across from a beach bar and a hike north to coves and 15min walk into town. Street/beach Paid parking is about $10+ day.

The staff were all outstanding, very welcoming, friendly, and always there to help out. Breakfast was perfect. The location was fantastic, with great beaches all within walking distance. The hotel itself was very, very clean. Our room was always cleaned. I would recommend La Plancia; you will not regret it. Oh, they even upgraded our room for free.....All was perfect...

The location is perfect: the hotel is at the seafront and just out of town so it is quiet. You can walk easily along the "wild" coast, accomodated beaches are close, and Ortranto with its restaurants and shops is at walking distance! Everything was good!

The hotel was located across the street from a lovely beach, so for me it was wonderful. A 15-20" walk into town, Old Town, and crowds. The staff were all very nice and breakfast was fine. Rooms were somewhat dated, but very clean and really, who cares? Very pleasant.

Really made you feel welcome. Very attentive even carried in our luggage and when we left that was much appreciated. We had a good conversation with the owners, so that helps make it a memorable experience . Our hand shower broke, and it was fixed within 15 min. We found this because we left another place three days early because of no customer service our heat and internet was broken and we had to sleep in our clothes because it was so cold and owner could care less. So this hotel was a gem to find.

Exceptional

Great location, with good parking available and 10-15 minutes walk to restaurants and cafes. Opposite the beach too, so it has a pleasant outlook. The staff from check-in to check-out were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The lady at checkout went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable- thank you! A full length mirror would have been nice, as the only one was in the bathroom.

Close to town but low key area. Right on a small swimming beach with a restaurant. Easy 15 minute walk into Otranto center Nothing really

Great location right next to the beach. It’s about a 20 min walk into the city center. Free and paid parking along the street right outside the hotel (first come first serve).

A lovely place to stay... a family run hotel with wonderful staff.

The hotel has many great aspects, but first and foremost there's the wonderful staff. They were helpful, friendly and always up for a chat, making us feel very welcome. It has an excellent beachfront location with a stunning view and is situated just a short walk from the historical centre of Otranto. Breakfast was great, with lots to choose from in both the sweet and savoury categories. The rooms have everything you need. They're not hypermodern, but they're well maintained and clean. All in all, a real gem of a hotel that we'd 100% recommend.
