We loved the quietness of the place. All the different beautiful spaces, from the dining room to the out door areas, and pool area. We liked the convenience and location to the Paestum archeological site, distance to the beach, and convenient location to other eateries and town. Nothing! It was great!

i I like this place. My huband and I keep on reserving there every time we visit paestum and we do it rather often!

Staff and guests smoked outside just below our room. So our room smelt of smoke with the windows open.

Well maintained grounds with beautiful mosaics. Rooms were well appointed, each with lots of sun but also had shutters to keep out the early morning light. Breakfast was phenomenal, pool looked very enticing but a little cold since it was early April. The staff was very helpful and kind. It could be walkable from the train station (20min) if you don’t have a lot of bags. Everything was great!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Rita in Paestum. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and genuinely homey—it’s the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed and welcome. The service really stood out. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Their hospitality made a big difference in our overall experience. The hotel is also very family-friendly and especially great for those traveling with small children. The relaxed environment and welcoming staff made it easy to enjoy our time without stress. The food was another highlight—simple, delicious local fare that felt authentic and satisfying. It added to the charm of staying somewhere that embraces the character of the region. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore Paestum and the surrounding area while still enjoying a quiet, comfortable retreat. Overall, Hotel Villa Rita is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a welcoming, well-located place with great service and a true local feel. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful, clean, location
-
Perfectly suited to see the Temples, just a short walk away. The grounds are lovely. Breakfast could be better with more offerings. There is a charge for breakfast.
-
The grounds are lovely, especially the pool area with lots of places to sit outside, either in the sun or shade. The food is fantastic in the restaurant and I highly recommend the pork shin!! Delicious!! It’s also very close to the beach, restaurants, and the Paestum ruins. Parking for the ruins is very near by as well. I also loved that the hotel has parking!! Ordering for breakfast the day before is a little peculiar, but it was a fine breakfast. Enough to get you going for the day.

location and availability of breakfast
-
Quiet location with surrounding garden and open space. Easy walk to archaeological site and to "beach town." Food was excellent. Staff graciously provided gluten free options. No concerns.
-
The decor of the lobby felt like home…it was charming as was the staff and the family who owned the hotel. The food was excellent especially the dinner…definitely 5 star. The location was perfect for walking to Paestum park.

Superb

The hotel was superb. It was down a private road to the place. We had a delightful room with our perfect bathroom. In the reception was a lovely fire, which we also had a scrumptious dinner and breakfast. The area was beautiful, as well as the family in their generation. Nothing.
-
A very very nice place to stay, very near the archaeological area. Nice restaurant, helpful staff.
