There were roaches all in my room. The roof was peiling. You couldn’t use the toaster or microwave because when you tried roaches were literally crawling out from the equipment…

There was a bug in the coffee maker when my friend tried to brew a cup and it just looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. I’m assuming the room we were given was a handicap accessible one, but there was no lip in the shower to keep water from getting onto the floor by the toilet. The shower curtain also wasn’t long enough to keep the water in. I also wouldn’t recommend getting a room right by the pool on the bottom floor because all I could hear when I was trying to go to sleep was kids screaming in the pool even after 10pm.

Great place right im the beach away from crowds. Perfect for our stay of 3. Parking is horrible and elevator needs some attention

Old but clean. The only thing I didn't like was that the chairs you rent have all the good places on the beach.

We enjoyed our time at Sugar Sands. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds we clean, suite was clean. We have stayed at Sugar Sands at least once a year over the past 15 years. Love this property. Best beach in PCB

Clean room and check in was easy

Location. I have stayed here multiple times a year for the past seven years, but unfortunately, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the condition and quality of the property over the past two years. Last year, both the hot water and elevator were out of service. This year, there were no pots or pans in the room. When I requested them, I was given a small saucepan. When I asked for a frying pan, the employee didn’t seem to know what I was referring to. The kitchen outlets also did not work, so there was an orange extension cord running from the refrigerator across the entire room. The toilet barely flushed, and we had to use the toaster in the bathroom because of the lack of working outlets in the kitchen. The AC unit was also very loud and squeaky. There were just a lot of little things this year that made our stay inconvenient. It’s disappointing because the location is fantastic, it’s right on the beach, and the property is usually peaceful with very few people. However, the rooms and overall upkeep seem to be going downhill. I’ve enjoyed staying here for many years and would really like to see the property receive some much needed attention and maintenance.

I liked having a kitchen in my room. I didn't like the door to go into the room being open to the outside of the building. There was no way to lock the sliding glass door, so I had to put the leg of one of the bar stools in the track of the door to keep it from being able to be opened.

Room looked nothing like the pictures… very poorly maintained and not clean at all. Bed fitted sheet wasn’t correct size and kept coming off. Ceiling tiles was stained and mismatched. Under the air conditioning was a loose receptacle box. Bathtub was very dirty and stained. Staff was great and helpful. Really need to step up the house cleaning and maintenance.
