Hôtel Eiffel Kensington

Location: Proximity to The Eiffel Tower. Manage later communicated by email and focused on lack of air-conditioning specified on website, & not unhygienic and other concerns of the room and passage. The property was poorly ventilated, the hallway leading to room was not lit, The fan was too slow for circulation. The bathroom had stains, and its floors were dirty and creaked. Bed linen was not fresh, Receptionist apologized that we we found the property unsuitable and had to walk out within an hour and asked not to leave a bad review about unsanitary conditions.

Good location with easy access to all the sites. We arrived a bit early and they lucky our room was ready and they let us check in.

The elevator could only fit two people inside it. The bathroom is incredibly small and the fan in the room constantly made a lot of noise when turned on even the low setting.

We could not see the Eifel Tower from our room, but we could see it just down the block. It was a quant hotel, the room was small but nice. The elevator was the size of a closet, we took the winding staircase when we did not have luggage. We made a couple of requests to the staff, and they took care of it without question. It was a struggle to get two people and luggage into the elevator, but it was a great experience.

great location very walkable for the eiffel tower and such. the eiffel tower room view was good & the hotel itself was nice. there was staff 24/7 which was very nice to have. the wifi unfortunately only works in the lobby & there is no AC. this is mentioned in the booking but definitely good to keep in mind! there is also limited outlets in the rooms and none in the bathroom.

Front desk guy was very friendly and nice, it is also a 10 minute even less walk to the Eiffel Tower There was a bad smell in the room that I couldn’t get out even if I opened the window, it was also very cold at times during the night because the heating either went off or it was lowered, also a very dark room since the window was facing another building wall

Location. Not clean at all. Stairs are uneven/unsafe. Dirty. The rooms are not as they are pictured. Disappointed. Staff could care less that you are there. I was disgusted that someone else’s hairs all over your room, stained walls and towels, and unclean bathroom- gross!!!! Also you can hear your neighbors sneeze, talk, their tv.

The location was very convenient They were remodeling and painting. The paint fumes were bad. My travel companions had a very hard time breathing so we had to move to an hotel The room was very tiny also

The staff was very friendly, the rooms and sheets were clean. There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the tiny lobby that had no comfortable places to sit. If that was in the description, I missed it. That was very disappointing. There were 2 usable outlets in our room. One was in the corner near the door and the bathroom and was not usable because there was no where to set your tech (iPad, Kindle, Phone) to charge, and too far from the bathroom door to use for any hair products. The bathroom had a hairdryer with a US outlet, but it did not fit a curling iron and most of our plugs (only one that had rounded edges), but the power cut in and out and could not reliably charge anything either. The toilets did not flush well. The shower/tub was a large step up to get in (my mother could not use the showers because of this - thankfully, we had family staying in a different hotel that was accessible for her) and the half-glass shower door did not protect items in the room from getting wet and made it impossible to turn on before you got fully in the shower.

Location The rooms were not properly represented in their photos as the property was under renovation. Our floor was being remodeled had no flooring only ply boards and the paint smell was so overwhelming it was making my husband sick and we were traveling with Marie Dieckmann and her roommate Janie Grubbs who is almost 80 and has asthma and she was so sick from the smell. I had no choice but to check put to s new hotel that i booked on booking.com for all 4 of us for the additional room cost of $1,000 for a room thst we paid for. We checked in on 4-4 after 3 and checked out on 5/5 at 2:45. I spoke yo the hotel representative and told him why we had to leave. He offered s room on another floor but given we were on floor 2 and Marie was on floor 4 moving floors was not a viable option. The hotel rep said he would let management know to see about a refund which i have not heard anything about. Given we paid for rooms in good faith and the property was not livable due to the construction underway i only think the right thing to do is refund our rooms for the unused portion.

I had a late check in for an over night layover and location was perfect! Recommend this location, it was clean and friendly staff and only a 10-15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower!
