Mercure Paris Butte Montmartre Basilique

The room was functional…nothing exceptional…but ok. I really felt the breakfast was subpar. Rotten fresh fruit….pastries that were clearly old. I hate these pod style coffee machines. Just very uninspired

The property was so clean, updated, and in the perfect location! Staff was super friendly. Would definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff is excellent. Most every one spoke English to some degree a the reception staff was excellent. They went out of their way to help us. The location was ideal for accessing the metro. Most of the big attractions were right along the #4 metro line that we could access via the Anver station. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great. The breakfast was fantastic. I have eaten some pretty good hotel breakfasts, but this was super. The charge for it, so we saved it for our last morning and ran out for croissants the other days. There are several bakeries right near and coffee shops, and gelatarias. The local restaurants were excellent too. The room was small, but we made do. No place to really open up our bags. If we were only staying for a few days we could have brought less. But we had almost 3 weeks of travel a need several types of clothing. They did have some larger rooms, which I didn't see until we were leaving. The only really difficult thing for us was the heat. No doubt I don't understand all involved, but it got up into the 80's. Yet, because it was not "air conditioning season yet" we could not get cool air in our room. Not air moment ever. The whole hotel is on one thermostat, maybe? I asked a couple of times, but no joy. Fortunately, it got cool at night and we could open the window. But with these one piece sheet/blanket/ spread bed covers it was either too hot or too cold. I think French culture is not addicted to air conditioning like Americans area. Not saying that is bad, but my wife especially suffered from the heat.

Location brilliant, close to gard du nord, Sacre Coeur, and Moulin Rouge. Metro very easy to use to get about

Location was good. On the metro which is a plus Rooms are very clean but minuscule (I expect that’s the norm in downtown Paris) Breakfast was great and plentiful. Staff were very accommodating Rooms are no bigger then slightly large closets Price? Maybe too expensive for what they offer but this is Paris at the end of the day. So I’m not quite sure about how to rate the value for money

The location is good to transport. The breakfast girls were super professional and friendly. The check in was a little involved with doing it online but then requiring another process on arrival.

Be aware that rooms are small, as is usual in Paris. Neighborhood might feel less fancy than the rest of Paris.

The room was very small and hard to fit luggage and move around.

Listing says it has AC. It was not working which made it uncomfortable to sleep. We woke up in pools of sweat.

One thing that was frustrating was that we would set the air-conditioning level before sleeping and it would turn off some time during the night so we ended up being very warm while trying to sleep

Staff was very friendly. They even helped us schedule a taxi for our way home and kept refrigerated items for us in the kitchen overnight.

We had a very nice stay in this hotel! Location was perfect, close to Metro station Pigalle and close to Sacre Coeur and lots of nice restaurants (also for breakfast). The bed was perfect and so comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had room number 12, which had a door to 11 so if needed you can book two connected rooms. However, because of this door, we could hear the television in room 11 very well. Or maybe it was just very loud ;) Luckily, we only noticed this once.

When we arrived there was a little confusion about our booking being a room for two, despite previous email communication confirming it was for two. We had a great service though from most of the staff we met, and some exceptional service from a younger man who was proactive and helpful. The initial confusion, that was partly our own fault, though the email messages we exchanged in advance didn't seem to have been taken into account. Staff service after our initial arrival made up for it though.
