The hotel is well designed by legendary boutique hotel designer Philippe Starck. Than said, it's pretty much the same ideas he had from 20 years ago, so nothing new. The materials and details in the room meet my expectations of a Philippe Starck hotel. The breakfast in the lobby is good but service tends to be on the slow side. The staff are generally friendly and helpful at the front desk, but they seem over stretched when there are more than one guest checking in. The roof top restaurant, with view of Eiffel Tower, is the best part of the stay. Although the neighborhood is charming, it's a bit out of the way from the center of Paris where the museums, cafes, and restaurants are located. Going anywhere requres at least one (to two) changes on the Metro, and UBER to the center (where you want to be) might cost over 10 Euros (or more), depending on which arondisment your'e going. My bed is a bit too soft for my taste, and the bedding is too warm for this Parisian summer (it would have been fine for winter but I think they have the same bedding year round).
