I stayed twice. Both times the room was quiet and had great air conditioning. This was so important as I was there in teh middle of a heatwave. The only thing was the first time I stayed it was expensive for the size of room. It was considerably cheaper the second time.

Lovely spot off the Canal du Martin and not far from the Seine. Also within easy walking distance of the Gare de Lyon and on a direct Metro line from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, hence the name of the hotel. There was a lift, BUT it was tiny, like a cupboard. Only room for 1 person with luggage.

The hotel had old world charm. With modern upgrades. The staff was friendly. The lift is quite small.

Staff were kind. The room was clean and there was AC, which kept me alive during the heatwave. It is quiet and very close to the metro. It has a small elevator.
