Many areas of the property were closed because it was the low season, which made it difficult to move around. We thought they were giving us a larger room for 3 people and instead added another bed to a regular room, so it was very cramped.

General cleanliness of the room and good breakfast buffet with plenty of options and quite polite and attentive staff. Though that is a pretty standard thing to expect. The reception staff was neither very well informed about hotel facilities and their locations nor they could recommend any places within the town. Some venues, especially those with live music, were closed. Sauna was paid extra and the facilities there were of disappointing quality. Everything was generally acceptable but did not exceed the bare minimum for a five star hotel.

I love the facilities. There were over charged for food and drink, drink were supper expensive, for example , they charged Singha beer at 190 baht (this is way too high), Cocktail - 390 baht (this is wayyy tooo high)

The staff provided excellent service. Everywhere we went, the staff gave us a warm welcome. We were especially impressed by the golf cart driver, who was very attentive and willing to assist. The lifeguard at the swimming pool in the Royal Grand Hotel area kept a close watch on the children at all times, as the pool there is quite deep. The hotel was clean and beautifully maintained, with a pleasant fragrance throughout—though we’re not sure what it was. Despite having extensive gardens, the hotel never felt eerie, and there were no fallen leaves cluttering the walkways. The head staff at the breakfast restaurant provided great service, ensuring that all staff members were attentive and proactive in serving guests. The staff looked slightly displeased when I ordered multiple omelets at once, but they still made them for me. And I found a strand of hair in the bathroom when I just checked into the room. However, it was just a minor issue.

Well located on the cliff tops and removed from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya. Facilities were great and the entire complex felt safe and secure. Whilst we were there between Christmas and New Year a number of the restaurants in the complex were not open. First world problem but the water in the swimming pools was cold and uncomfortable to swim in for a 5 star facility
