DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Penang

Very nice view, comfortable bed, staff were cooperative, they always available and help. Hotel put warning sign against jelly fish on the beach. Rooms are capacious. Room floor was always wet unless set the AC to very cold temperature and maximum fan. Also AC sound is very high and noisy. If you go to the beach be careful you might be attacked by jelly fish, if this happened please go to reception immediately and ask for vinegar as first aid then if severe symptoms go to the clinic immediately

The location was convenient The response to request. The original room had some problems. The power socket wasn’t working and the floor felt wet so we were upgraded. That was good

Spacious and quiet environment, room is clean and bed is comfy. The aircon is not cold enough, and the temperature is lock at 21degree.

Location, view, comfort. Good spread and wheelchair friendly.

Very family and kid friendly. Huge ballroom for event, recommended. Cool kiddy pool. The hospitality is almost non-existent here. Not what expected from a 5 star Hotel chain. Can’t remember any hotel commercial video which doesnt start with smiley receptionist and helpful instruction during checkins but this one might have one.

Toilet door could be improved to full instead of half so water during shower doesn’t come out of the shower area space

We had a very enjoyable family stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and was well organized. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and suitable for families. We also appreciated the overall atmosphere of the resort, the beautiful sea views, and the convenient location. The connected rooms arranged for our family and the thoughtful birthday cake surprise made our stay even more special. A special thanks to "Leila" at the reception for her professionalism, kindness, and excellent customer service. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The only area for improvement would be beach access and safety. Access to the beach requires crossing a staircase and road, and while the beach itself is enjoyable, it would be reassuring if the hotel could provide a lifeguard or safety personnel during peak hours. During our stay, my son was swimming and was briefly affected by the waves, which highlighted the importance of having additional safety supervision available. This would provide greater peace of mind for families with children and further enhance the overall guest experience.

Reception/front desk/ housekeeping not responsive. Bbq night buffet was the worst I ever had. The staffs showed double standards to the guests.

BEACH NOT PRIVATE...NOT CLEAN

The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was substantial and food options plentiful. Dinner was also a treat. Facilities are excellent including Lounge / Bar areas, Swimming Pools, Spa and Gymnasium. The staff are truly delightful. Nothing. All good.

Nothing as such I would say but one suggestion could be to use some sort of insect repellents on the walls of the balcony outside as there were few insects and lizard there on the walls ( which is understandable , given we are surrounded by so much nature). But for some like me who have phobias , it could be better as we wanted to spend more time on the balcony but couldn't when these showed up Just FYI, nothing was inside the room, just the outer walls of the balcony.

Brakfast- the taste so bad.. it is local chef?

I had room 1111 had an issue with shower Service staff was excellent ( Ali hossein , Faisel , Fauzi)

breakfast spread was very good can add in more kuih muih instead of only 2

The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and clean. The food selection was superb, too!
