Met the standard for cleanliness for the budget. The messages/communication were prompt. The location was horrible for a tourist to look around Sao Luis. There is basically nothing around in walking-range, except the beach. No supermarket, no laundry, which was pretty problematic for us. Noting we do know it was away from Centro, we did not know that it is even far away from the center of the beach, where there are all the restaurants and stuff. On the first night we checked-in there was a storm, and the facility experienced total blackout next morning, no wifi, no AC, no light, etc. And our room experienced a flood of dead winged insects from our bathrooms, which was gross. Although the accommodation quickly sent us staffs to clean when we messaged them, it was not pleasant they did not give any notification/explanation about the blackout until we asked them. We acknowledge storms are force majeure, but an accommodation that demands this much amount, should definitely have a much better facility.
