Marillia Village

Great facilities, very comfortable beds and rooms. Great breakfast. The stuff was amazing!!! They made us breakfast to take away because we checked out early in the morning and were very helpful and welcoming.

We LOVED our 5 night stay at Marillia Village - a relatively small hotel (compared to large scale/crowded places nearby) that is peaceful, with beautiful grounds (green plants, magenta bougainvillea, and a swimming pool), gorgeous rooms with comfortable beds, amazing shower. Phenomenal breakfast with hot options, fresh fruit, Greek yogurt and a range of pastries every morning. The hotel is a 4 minute walk to Perivolos black sand beach (amazing! Can rent sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach) and a ton of restaurants on the water extending from Perivolos to (the more touristy) Perissa. The bus stop is ~20 minute walk from the hotel, allowing easy (and inexpensive) travel to Perissa, Emporio (our favorite village!), Pyrgos, Fira and Oia. Oia is beautiful of course, but overloaded with tourists - we were extremely pleased that we decided to stay in Perivolos and spend an afternoon/evening in Oia - Perivolos (and specifically Marillia Village) was a perfect choice for our exploration of Santorini. Highly recommend! You are not able to drink the tap water (salty), and need to buy bottled water. There are nearby mini-markets by the beach.

Hotel is gorgeous, especially the chill zona around the pool and this looks like in pictures. We highly apreciate that we came quite early in the morning (cause of the early flight) and we could already rest by the pool and were even invited for a breakfast. Same leaving the hotel in the afternoon after check out - they offered us a bathroom for guests with a shower and fresh towels. Thats really nice gesture. Even though we are late sleepers they always contacted us from reception what time we would like to have the room cleaned so it fits our schedule and doesnt bother us. Easy parking. The area is honestly not so special - but when you go right (not left) on the beach you will find fine beach clubs, stunning restaurants and we really like Popeye restaurant. From ratings we had a vision of paradise. And yeah it was nice, solid 8 from 10. They obviously renovated this hotel to make it a 4 stars but Im not really sure if this was enough effort. Out of season we had really fair price, but for full price I would be honestly little disapointed. It could be my disinterpretation but I thought that it would be more private, in a bigger garden... it is not, basically room next to room, with just outdoor passage to get in there, no extra corners or chill zones... This makes it zero privacy when you open windows there are people passing and they can see inside. TV small for the room, no coffee option in the room. Breakfast area poor for 4 stars hotel - scrambled eggs really bad, same specialities of the day. Lots to offer from sweets. Breakfast till 10:30 - couple of times we came after 10 and there were last two fried eggs and no vegetable. When we asked if they could bring at least chopped tomato, we were told that its late or that my husband ate a lot (I came that day after him). This shouldnt happen. In good hotels you come 5 minutes before the end and they dont make you feel it. As a coffee lover I was very disapointed - instant coffee only with no option ordering at least espresso. Pool not heated. We dont want to be too critical, because in the end we were happy here, safe and grateful for extra kind gestures... Just to paint you whole picture before you come here, but in the end its definitely nice place!

The property is the most relaxing stay we have had in years. The pool area was so comfortable, so relaxed, Cara the pool area / bar / breakfast manager was absolutely fantastic. She made everyone feel at home. Tolin, the chef was fantastic too. He went out of his way to make sure people were happy, always looking for feedback directly. Lovely, more than professional people. Some noise from midnight soccer games on a local football pitch, Yes midnight, and sometimes 2am.

This is a stunning hotel which is very small and friendly. The room we had (number 17) was spacious and very clean with a plunge pool. It was serviced every day impeccably with fresh towels provided. The chef and the lady who served breakfast always said hello and were kind to check that you were enjoying your stay/breakfast etc. The breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit and options for vegetarians. The pool is immaculate. The grounds are stunning with beautiful cobbled paths and bougainvillea petals everywhere! Nothing it was lovely.

The pool is amazing with great lounge chairs. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the overall property feels like a beautiful paradise. And it’s 1 street over from beachfront bars, restaurants, and water excursions which may have been the best part. I’m surprised the menu isn’t fresher food- we didn’t eat there but that’s the only negative criticism I can think of for this resort.

The property was absolutely spotless to be truthful. We had a lovely time in our little private apartment with its own private pool. The staff was absolutely accommodating and welcoming. Will definitely go back again in the future and highly recommended.

Clean, small and friendly. Staff couldn’t do enough The only thing which wasn’t perfect was the aircon. We were in a split level apartment and the downstairs kept cool whereas the mezzanine level was very hot even with the aircon on

The location I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist promised us one of the best rooms with the best view. The room we were given did not match what we had booked: it was very much smaller and less well-equipped. We had informed them in advance that there would be a fourth person, but they did not tell us that this would change our room. We were eventually given a nice room -still small- with a jacuzzi which was appreciated. Breakfast was another big disappointment, with very few options and only pork-based dishes, despite having specified our dietary preferences and allergies when it was asked the first day. None of our requests were considered. This strongly impacted our stay, which was meant to be a bachelorette party. When we brought these issues to their attention, we were met with bad faith counterarguments instead of apologies or any goodwill gesture. I do not recommend this establishment and wish they reconsider the pricing which is not consistent with the service.

location is good, near the beach, the hotel itself looks nice, but that's really all I can say about that.. we initially booked a cocoon room and a split level room thinking my partner's teenage kids could share the room but sleep one in the bed and one on the sofa. They were very nice to upgrade the split to the "honeymoon suite" but it would have been better we think if we had gotten what we had booked. On top of that because I didn't throw the reception girl a party for the upgrade (I was tired from travelling a whole day, and needed a toilet asap so just wanted to get things over with, and now there was no split for the kids so we needed to think about it for a second how we would now organise ourselves) she made it very clear in our further encounters that she didn't like me. The honeymoon suite looks nice for a suite room, but not THE honeymoon suite. The building gets super hot and it is impossible to sleep without airco, which of course keeps you up. No "do not disturb" sign, so I asked one, solution was locking the gate (there is a little courtyard where the private pool is) so the cleaners know not to come in, but then in the morning the pool guy came and unlocked our gate, so no, this was not the solution. Poolguy also came mega early so sleeping till a normal hour not possible, he watered the plants outside the cocoon room at 7:45am on one occasion. Breakfast quality is poor, very small, all sunny-side-up eggs are made at 8h so if you eat after 9h30 they've turned to plastic (same for the tomato patties) while the cook is right there, would be better to just ask people at the table and give them freshly prepped eggs, also less waste. Milk was off twice, or it was buttermilk maybe.. not labelled correctly then. Cockroaches in the honeymoon suite, designed poorly too, bathroom door didn't close anymore, flusher button never clean, light in "grotto shower" broken, light fixtures next to bed the wrong way round (with the lightbulb in front of the switches..), bed very hard and does not ventilate so you wake up bathing in your own sweat in a hot bed. top shelf of closet very dusty, cleaned it myself before putting clothes there. Was already too expensive for the cocoon and split level tbh. Rooms look way larger in the pictures. After getting around a bit, turned out taxi rides booked via the hotel were up to 15 euro more expensive than average. Reception not always available (neither via phone in room), I messaged the whatsapp number provided but no answer to this day. In the cocoon room the cleaner took away a piece of plastic that they probably thought was rubbish, but was actually a tool to bind your bra straps on your back to make it a 'tank top' design.
