Caldera Bay

This was the best holiday thanks to this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast food was extremely good and tasty. I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

Value for money - enjoyed this stay!

We enjoyed the location and the beach. No beach towels, dish cloths were provided.

Rooms need an update. Furniture and bathroom were not up to par.

Clean, amazing breakfast ,staff especially Stella at the bar restaurant was wonderful the ladies in front were welcoming and nice . Pools and beach were nice and clean. Spacious rooms AC is loud in the room Issue with Beach and pool chairs not enough The kitchen missing microwave,fan when you cook it needs an update

I loved the location, right outside the hotel, you have everything. I also loved that it's located on the beach and has 2 pools. The rooms are a bit outdated , old and need renovation.

Small amount of sunbeds (or more the fact that people reserved many chairs from early in the morning and then just left the towels there). But besides thet everything was perfect.

Beautiful premesis and view and access to the beach. Breakfast was down right poor. A lot of frozen bakery products and really horrible juices, especially considering thet it was the season for oranges. The breakfast buffet display was also quite poor.

Nice hotel on the beach with plenty pools and stores around. The staff really friendly The rooms are outdated and the beach is not the nicest in crete

Location and friendly staff

Caldera Bay is in a great location lin Platanias , on the sandy beach and a short 50 metres walk to the strip . The strip (in Platanias is very busy with loads of bars, shops and restaurants to go at. There were a lot of German holiday makers there which is no issue at all but I thought I should mention it for this review to be accurate . There are regular buses into the city of Chania. We were on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was lovely and is a buffet style with all the usual dishes and more. Overall it is a really good hotel and good value for money . Nothing not to like

Good

Staff were excellent and really welcoming. Breakfast choice was great. A lovely pool area which opens straight onto the beach. Room was cleaned daily, with clean towels and the cleaning lady was very friendly. No plug socket next to the mirror for my wife's hair straighteners and she found the lighting wasn't great for doing her make-up.

Beautiful hotel area, great breakfast, mini market at the hotel, good location, pools. The over all service at the hotel could be a bit more genuine and warm, but this is a big hotel concept and it shows.

The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was mouldy and needed better cleaning. It lacked small touches, like a welcome pack (water, coffee etc upon arrival).

Superb

Good location, like a little village by the sea near all the shops, restaurants etc had a very nice feeling to it.. Very nice choice of breakfast and quick to clean up. Lovely pools, very clean and a choice of areas to relax. Staff were very helpful. Our Room had a little kitchenette and there was a shop on site. When we were there many people leaving towels on sun beds at the front pool first thing in the morning and no sign of the people. There was a sign not to do this but I feel there should be someone checking on this and removing the towels after a limited time.
