We booked the room for the jacuzzi in the room, which immediately when turned on, was filled with black flakes specific to jacuzzis that are not cleaned properly/maintained (you can look it up on Google, jacuzzi black flakes), the manager came to check and just sent someone to clean the outside of it, which clearly wasn't what they needed to do, you need to put some solutions inside like the "oh yuk jetted tub cleaner", and let the jets run for 30 minutes then repeat for like 2 times, probably 4 times given the state it was in, also the shower of the jacuzzi didn't work either, she said the repairman would come tomorrow to fix it which never happened, therefore the jacuzzi never worked, it was just bait. Secondly, we showed the manager that the balcony door was stuck, you had to push/pull REALLY hard to open or close it, she didn't say anything about it, just pretended like she didn't hear it. We paid for the breakfast for three days, we ate only on the first day as it was really poor, i preferred to go out and eat instead. Very bad experience, I don't understand how this hotel can have rating 9.

Very nice place. Spacious. Very clean. Near the beach and restaurants. We loved it.

Allthough very narrow to drive in, there is private and free parking under the hotel. Shower full of black mold. Complained and got another room. 1st room also had hairs and an item from the previous guest(s). Cleaning staff bad and unprofessional. I know its a busy period but you should check up on your staff! Breakfast was distastefull and boring. We only used it once. We had no option not to choose it. Luckily there are breakfast places all around. Way too expensive for what we got. I must include we did get a room for 3 people, but our booking was for 2.

We liked the location near the sea and many restaurants and stores. Also, it was comfortable having two single beds for the kids. They didn't change the towels during the three days we stayed there.

The car parking is located underground , sometimes it was hard to park or go up

My stay at the Elia Platanias Hotel was simply fantastic and exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, i was warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always available to assist with any questions or requests. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining modern elegance with the charming essence of Crete. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and stylishly furnished, offering breathtaking views of either the sea or the meticulously maintained garden. Despite the lively atmosphere in the surrounding area, with bars and clubs nearby, the hotel provided a peaceful and comfortable retreat where i could unwind. The beach right in front of the hotel is clean and well-maintained, with comfortable loungers and shaded umbrellas. The crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean invite you to swim and relax – simply perfect! Breakfast was another highlight. There was a wide selection of fresh, regional products that left nothing to be desired. From fresh fruit to local specialties and international classics, everything was available. The hotel’s location is ideal for those who enjoy being close to the action: restaurants, bars, and shops in Platanias are all within easy walking distance. Additionally, the proximity to Chania, one of Crete’s most beautiful cities, is another great advantage. All in all, I had an unforgettable vacation at Elia Platanias. The combination of excellent service, a lively location, and outstanding cuisine makes this hotel a true hidden gem in Crete. I will definitely return and highly recommend Elia Platanias to anyone looking for a vibrant and luxurious holiday on this beautiful island.

They have garage for cars, that is awesome in place like that ! Jacuzzi is for common use, but the water was dirty inside...

Everything was perfect! The size of the room, the comfort of the bed. The shower. The balcony looking onto the main street. The location and how close it was to all the shops, restaurants and the beach.

Property was close to everything we needed short walk to the beach as well as lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay here again highly recommend

Location to breakfast venue was appropriate. There were one or two new dishes everyday. There was no date of expiry on the cereal bottles. Probably, this could be included in future.

Breakfast was rather plain, but it got me started- and it was only ten euros! The (double) A/C was a godsend! TV was Internet based, and rather poor.
