The beds are the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. Every time one of us moved in bed the other was bounced around. The springs felt like they were jabbing into our skin. I'd prefer to sleep on a bed of nails

The room size was awesome. The beds were slightly uncomfortable. They also advertised air conditioning and it didn’t work so all we got was a little fan that was inadequate for the size of the room.

Location is convenient parking is easy Reception staff could be friendlier. It would be nice if housekeeping didn’t try to enter my bedroom at 8:30 in the morning and people weren’t knocking on my bedroom door at 3:30 am.

Good price for twin double room, 12pm late checkout is free, plenty of towels provided as well as gowns. Staff are nice The first time we stayed we found it great value for money. This time, when we arrived one staff member using the computer didn’t greet us, just said they’d be a few minutes and then left us stood waiting until the other person was done on the phone and they called us over The bathroom (especially toilet section) stunk of urine - definitely needs a deep clean. Tiles under the sink are filthy (noticed when changing my baby). Only king rooms have fridges (if you upgrade for £30 a night) so can’t store any baby milk/food. I found this out by asking via Booking.com - responses could be typed more professionally. The mattresses are old, beds are creaky, carpet needs a deep clean. One of the beds has metal sticking out under the material, you can easily catch your leg/foot on it. We had to move the drawers forward and behind was filthy, so not been moved/cleaned for a good long time. The final straw was during both days, workmen were talking loudly, drilling and banging outside our room. Thankfully our baby could sleep through it but not being made aware is so disrespectful and should be considered for any future families who could then plan naps etc around things like this if informed beforehand. Massively disappointed as we had a good stay last time, we won’t be returning.

the staff were friendly and professional. Our room was good with air conditioning, clean, comfortable bed, with plenty of space. The bathroom was clean with a good powerful shower. Sufficient parking which was free. There was nothing to dislike

This is very smart and comfortable hotel perfectly placed for an overnight stay after arriving by ferry into Plymouth. The room was good and we had a pleasant meal in the large restaurant. This was our second stay and we hope to return in 2027. Everything was fine.
