Renaissance Hotel

The hotel offered good value for the price and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and there were good restaurants within walking distance. Taxis were easy to find, making it convenient to get around Pohang or travel to Pohang Station. Overall, it was a practical and comfortable place to stay. The area around the hotel doesn’t have many attractions within walking distance, so you’ll likely need transportation to explore the city. Also, the room only had Korean-style power outlets, so if you don’t bring a compatible adapter, you won’t be able to charge your phone, laptop, or other devices. While the hotel is comfortable, it isn’t particularly luxurious, and there are nicer options available if you’re willing to spend more.

The room was quite spacious and the staff friendly. Korean style breakfast was plentiful compared to other hotels we stayed at in Seoul. There was quite a bit of dust and grime in the room and in the bathtub. There was an old pc computer in our room too which did not work. We were slightly unsure about the decor, blackened glass walls which made us feel potentially observed by someone on the other side? The neighbourhood being close to the station felt a bit unsafe at night.

Very big, clean and spacious rooms. Good location near the intercity bus terminal. The light controls sometimes didn't work properly and were too bright at night. Big towels were not provided.

Clean, spacious, convenient to bus, taxi. No bath towels and no where to hang them in the bathroom.

the staff was lovely and so helping. And I saying that don't do them justice, they frankly were awesome. Spacious and comfortable warmth. Loved the bathroom skippers. Fresh and clean bedsheets and towels. Not very soundproof, but nothing really bothering during the night except one when it sounded like they were vacuuming in the room next door at 11 pm. the worst pillows I have ever had in a hotel, and pretty hard beds. After 2 nights, my hip was hurting since I always sleep on the side. Was looking for the cups and could not find any. They were hidden in the fridge, paper cups. No hangers for towels in the bathroom or place to put toothbrush or other toiletries. However, there was a large bench in the main room.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely large room and a tray ceiling plus wonderful lighting. The exterior was exceptional. The hotel is located a few short blocks from the Bus Terminal and Home Plus grocery store. Breakfast had abalone porridge cabbage salad, fried eggs, toast, juice, and drip coffee. All receptionist were nice and professional. We had difficulty adjusting the room temperature.

Located really close to intercity bus terminal. Plenty of local city busses to get around on. This is a very interesting place. If you are a Westener make sure you visit the 6th floor, but don’t take the kids. Some interesting stuff to read ( in English on the walls). Really big comfortable room. Not a lot food wise in the general area but not really a problem. Get 900 bus and go to beach area and there is plenty.

I thought it was a Renaissance run by Marriot, but actually a local motel (potential legal risk for booking.com). Almost no staff speaking English. The old lady at reception could not print the invoice when I checked out. She then promised to send by email in a few days, but failed to do so until now.

Exceptional

size of room is amazing for a family. The beds were so comfortable and big. I love that the toiletries were readily available if you forget anything. The bathroom had a jacuzzi and kids were able to enjoy a bubble bath. There was always water for the whole family. The room was cleaned everyday! The small fridge was dirty and not cold enough. It also had a foul order. This needs to be cleaned.

the large bathtub was a bit of a surprise; I can’t fit into most Korean hotel bathtubs so this was a treat. comfortable bed. the breakfast didn’t look very appealing so I skipped it.
