It was very clean and quiet.

Great atmosphere

My stay there was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was surprised that there was no elevator, as I had difficulty carrying my bags upstairs. Since food was available only at the main building, it would be convenient if your facility also offered sandwiches and soups.

Such a beauty of a resort! And such a hidden gem!! We loved our stay, we can't wait to go back! 💛
-
Every thing was fine except the buffet breakfast which was cold and disappointing
-
Loved the cottage! Everything was there including everything for the lake.
-
Toilet that is small for even a 6 year old. No fridge Ancient hotel. Breakfast was OK. Hotel that provides you with a physical key. There is no way to lock the door from inside.

This was my first trip to Maine, and it was the last night of our long weekend road trip to celebrate my 65th birthday. How disappointing to find out that our "Lodge room" was not in the actual resort at all, but down the road at a separate property, and nothing more than a cheap roadside motel, walkable to absolutely nothing. Not even a shuttle to the actual resort, so going to the bar or out to dinner was out of the question, since we wanted to relax, enjoy some cocktails and food and not have to worry about driving anywhere. I actually cried. The room was tiny, the walls were so thin we could hear everything in the hallway and the room next door, and the view was the golf course port-a-potty. The products were low end, just some shampoo and body wash on the shower wall and a sliver of soap. Thankfully I brought my own. We ended up bringing in supermarket food and balancing it wherever we could since there wasn't even a table, and one chair. We were not even allowed to sit outside with a drink. The woman at the reception area blamed me for not reading the property description. Believe me, I did, several times. It was awful, way out of the way, and I couldn't wait to leave in the morning. Sad, because there were so many other places we could have stayed.

Beautiful location. Needs updating

Great experience: but the rooms were extremely dated and the is should be considered a no frills hotel. The grounds are great, free breakfast which was actually delicious, and a lively lobby area. Loved it but the room was like glamping.

We loved how easy access was. It was a fabulous stay.

A lovely experience. The staff was gracious, helpful and accommodating. Gorgeous views of the mountains! The rooms are clean and very comfortable but slightly dated. The golf course is designed by Donald Ross. It was a history lesson and a place to stay and in one, WE learned quite a bit about how Poland Spring water began. We will be going back again.

A dump........not worth it

Didn't get a chance to see any of the other rooms. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Presidential building. No elevators that I could see, so glad we had a minimal amount of stuff to carry up the stairs. The room was clean, the amenities all worked, but the room itself reminded me of the YMCA, or perhaps a convent/missionary room. Cracked plaster, bare walls, very sparse look to the whole thing. Again, it was clean, but no points for atmosphere. The bed was small, but comfortable enough. Really in dire need of some aesthetics.

Staff was great, helped me with a late check-in. Room was great, simple, and clean.

A hidden jewel, actually.
