Hotel San Giovanni

If you want to feel like at home - choose this hotel! Close to the see! Very clean and comfortable! Barbara is awesome! She is well organized, she and her team!!! Visiting the south of Italy like Polignano, Monopoly, Alberobello… stay in this hotel! Take shoes to the beach! A lot of glass! You will not find a swimming pool in this hotel but it wasn’t problem for us!

Pros: ​- First of all, Barbara was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and tried her best to give as much useful local information as possible. ​- The villa itself is literally right by the sea. At the end of the complex, there is a door that opens directly onto the waterfront (no kidding!) Cons: - It functions more like a private beach villa where they rent out individual rooms, rather than a standard hotel. ​- The continental breakfast was awful. If you have the option to book a room without breakfast, definitely do that and just eat at a cafe in the center instead. - ​The villa is a 10-to-15-minute drive from the center of Polignano a Mare, and there is nothing around the property. You have to either rent a car or call a tuk-tuk to get anywhere. (Be careful with the local tuk-tuk transport, as some of the companies are scammers. "Flcett" was the reliable one to use.)

Very limited access to walkable restaurants for dinner.

Set in a secluded area with a great view! Secured private parking. Very well maintained property super clean. The fact that I didn’t stay there longer.

Very nice hotel in beautiful location. We had room with oceans views and terrace and it was beautiful. Daily cleaning and changing towels. Breakfast is amazing, everything is freshly prepared! We had a car and it was nice convenient parking on property. It’s about 10 min by car or Tuk Tuk from Poligano. Keep in mind there are no taxis, just tuk tuk which is a bit costly. But if you have car there are plenty parking lots in Poligano that cheap and convenient if you want to go town. Also the Miami Beach club next to hotel is closed, so there is no pool. There is a Lido San Giovanni 5 min by foot but it’s not very good and expensive. If you want great beaches you need to drive 20-30 min south. But in any case we loved our stay and recommend this hotel ! It would be nice to have a pool on property

For breakfast they offer everything that you can think of. Great view from the room. There are restaurants at walking distance. No wifi

The enthusiasm of the owner, Barbara, was infectious. She made us feel very welcome. The property has a nice garden to chill and is located right on the beach. The room was nice and clean, although a bit basic. Bed could have been more comfortable. Value for money is lower compared to other accomodations we've had in Puglia.

The staff were super nice and very attentive and the breakfast was exceptional!

Super breakfast, great hosts, lovely location and adjacent beaches and the village of St Vito. Really enjoyed our stay here.
