Nives Bed and Breakfast

Andrea was absolutely incredible. He was the kindest host, thoroughly welcomed us, and helped us plan a perfect day in Pompei. He truly exceeded expectations, and I couldn't recommend this B&B enough. He told us about his career as an architect, and you could tell the rooms were designed with a care and passion that made it all the more welcoming to stay in.

I am a repeat customer because I love the location near Porto Marina entrance to Pompeii, clever design of the rooms, and the attention that I receive from the very kind hosts. A great value for a solo, senior traveler. Thank you Nothing

Great location to see the ruins. Lovely host who gave clear instructions with a google translator. Very clean Pre-packaged breakfast was a bit disappointing. But the strange thing was how the room smelled. It wasn’t a dirty smell but more like moth balls or a very cloying smell they may have used to clean. It was overpowering even after opening the windows and affected my sleep. I didn’t notice any other reviews about this so maybe I’m over sensitive but it created a disappointing stay.

Quirky convenient room and bathroom proudly designed by and constructed by the awesome host Andrea. He sets a very nice breakfast in the morning. The most comfortable bed! Nice shower. Although the apartment is down and behind a gas station, don’t be fooled, it is in an excellent and safe neighborhood. You really can’t be much closer to the Pompeii entrance. And… you avoid the noise and clutter of touristy Pompeii town. The owner is not on site but, although easy, communication is necessary as you approach

Close to entrances into Pompeii Archaeological museum Had to wait for the owner (which happens often in Italy). But, at least, the owner came in person and was very nice.

Breakfast, save the fresh orange juice, was really lacking.

Location was perfect! We especially liked the parking lot and for the host being so accommodating.

We loved the location for Pompeii. The host was great. We could leave the car when visiting Pompeii. It was very clean and a nice breakfast. We liked it all.

The greatest thing about this property is the owners! You’re not gonna meet anybody nicer than Andrea! What a great host! He and his wife are so friendly! Talk about going the extra mile!!! They were absolutely wonderful people. I loved how the rooms were decorated. Our bathroom was unbelievable. I actually took pictures of the bathroom! We loved how close it was to everything. Completely convenient location. Everything about this place was wonderful.

My family and I stayed at Nives Bed & Breakfast in August of 2025. Our host sent us lots of detailed information before our arrival so that we had good directions on how to get to the site and park. He also stayed in good communication with us prior to our arrival. We were concerned on the way to the site, as there were ZTL signs on the streets leading in. We actually pulled off into another property to avoid the ZTL, where someone there assured us that we were ok and not to worry. We continued to the site, where we found ample private parking. and also found our host waiting for us. He also assured us that we were ok up through his property before the ZTL was in effect. Our host spoke very little English, but was an absolute master of using Google Translate, so it was very easy to communicate with him. Our host had done wonderful work to artistically enhance each of the rooms to give them their own personality. It really enhanced the experience and made it fun to stay at the location. Our host was quite friendly and welcoming, and gave us great advice about a local restaurant within walking distance that we could visit that evening. Breakfast the next morning was good, and our host was attentive and helpful. It was a great and memorable stay!

Could this place have been more wonderful? Location: about a ten minute walk from the train station, and the train station entrance to Pompeii. A ten minute walk further on to the less-used Porta Marina entrance. Next door to an excellent grocery store, Wonderful restaurants (and gelato) in both directions. Facilities: the apartment is immaculate. Mr. and Mrs. Ciaravola are so kind and generous. They respond promptly to any question. They lay out a splendid breakfast every morning! If you stay here I hope you get the Pompeii room. The lovely details are restful to the eye; the curtains on the balcony door, the frescoes (copied from Pompeii) on the walls, the decorations on the walls and ceilings, the tile. So much attention to creating a beautiful space. There is a kitchen to share, with a fridge, coffee machine, with tables to work or read. We stayed six nights. The air conditioning was a blessing. I could not recommend this place more highly.

The owner met us in the balcony as it was somewhat confusing to find. We were late for our tour after a hard hot day of travel and he recognized our distress and quickly poured a cold glass of juice for us and drove us to our tour which we were late for !!!

The lovely owners of Nives B&B truly care for their guest. Every part of our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was a treat and a great way to start our day. Such kind and welcoming people. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Nives B&B We didn’t like that we had to eventually leave. ;)

I am so happy that I found this gem. Perfect location for easy access to Pompeii and a grocery store. The hosts are wonderful! It is fun to use Google translate for conversation! The red room with murals made me very happy. I will definitely be back. There is nothing that wasn’t perfect.

Loved how close it was to the site- and how sweet the hosts are. Great breakfast!! You must have cash to pay for the deposit, but it’s no worries because the host will drive you to an atm if need be.

The hosts were so nice and generous, and easy to talk to. They tended to our every need. Plus, the bedrooms are each unique, comfy, and beautiful. The breakfast was also very nice. Overall, a wonderful stay and quite close to Pompeii!

Nives Bed & Breakfast was very comfortable, room and bathroom spacious and breakfast a good selection of food and drink. Very close to all three entrances of the archeological site, town center and train stations. Best of all though were Carmela and Andrea. Both are super friendly and hospitable. Went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Let us check in early and stored our luggage on the day of checkout. Absolutely recommend Nives B&B. Thank you both for a wonderful stay :))

We had a very comfortable stay and the hosts Andrea and Carmela were delightful and gave us great recommendation for dinner. Location is fabulous and only 5 minutes from the entrance to the ruins

Andrea and his wife made our stay even better! They were so charming and friendly and really made us feel like we were visiting friends. The breakfast was lovely, especially the best fresh-squeezed orange juice we've ever tasted! And the beds were amazing! I don't usually sleep well when traveling, but those beds were amazing. We loved Andrea so much that we were sad to leave. We hope to come back to the area someday and stay with them again. I can't think of a single thing! The apartment was pristine, the sheets and towels were soft, and the hosts were wonderful and gave it that special touch.
