The room is decorated very well and contains everything you need. The balcony is really great. It’s important to understand where this place is located. It is in the center of downtown Pompeii and close to the train station Pompeii Santuario. The host suggested we take the train to this stop because we were coming from Florence. The train from Florence to this stop only goes once every hour and stops many times, so the trip takes about 1 1/2 hours. On the way back we walked to the other stop, which is about a 25 minute walk and much closer to the main entrance of Pompeii. The train runs far more frequently from there and it’s much faster from this stop, about 45 minutes. Had we understood all this we would have just taken the other train and walked so we could have arrived 1 1/2 hours earlier. Also, the check-in process was a pain. We sent many messages the day before and the morning of asking for instructions on how to check-in and access the room. The host kept asking us to message him when we got there. I explained repeatedly that we use WiFi to send messages. Eventually we were across the street and he was saying to text when we got to the door. It was needlessly complicated and very annoying after a long day of travel.

Good location for our requirements.

Great host. Close to the ruins.

Location was great, easy to find, easy to check in and nice bathroom. Unfortunately, the property manager was absent so we missed out on good morning breakfast at BnB and any in person interaction with staff. Felt more like an Airbnb than what we expected

I liked the location, and the pillows. Food in Pompeii was much better than the Amafi coast. The shower didn’t drain well and I told the owner and he did nothing. Breakfast was very disappointing and not appetizing looking. We bought breakfast instead.

We had an amazing stay! The bedroom was perfect with a very nice balcony overlooking the street. Easy to locate from the train and Andrea was very friendly. I highly recommend staying in the town of Pompei with Pompei Palace!

Waiting to get in?

Lovely location, very easy to get to the National Park and right in the main street. Beautiful view from the balcony and lovely host

The location of this place is exceptional! You are within 7 minutes of nice leisurely working from the gates to the Pompeii! Site. This may be an off-season thing, however the breakfast is not served at the place. You are expected to go to one of the caffes for breakfast. Since our plans involved leaving the apartment early in the morning, the caffe wasn't open yet. We bought our own breakfast. Although Andrea compensated one morning's breakfast for us.

The location is excellent. There are many cafés, shops, markets, and restaurants right outside the door. The Pompei Santuario train station is about a five minute walk and the Pompei center is about a nine minute walk. Host communication was also good. We booked two nights with breakfast included, but breakfast was not really provided. The breakfast area still had food left from previous guests, and there was no fresh breakfast set up. Both kettles in the rooms were also not usable due to visible buildup inside. Our first room had several issues, including a very uncomfortable mattress, worn and unhygienic pillows, a shower that did not work properly, and an unplugged refrigerator that still contained food from previous guests. We were moved to a second room, which was larger and had a better bed. However, the pillows were still very worn and the couch in the room appeared damaged. There was also no hot water at first. After we contacted the host, someone came and fixed the water, but during this time there was confusion about room availability and we were asked to move again, which made the situation stressful. The balcony and the location are nice, and the staff did try to help. However, the overall stay was affected by cleanliness, maintenance, and organization. This property has potential, but it needs better upkeep and clearer management to give guests a comfortable experience.

Location Had to turn on the bidet with hot water in order to get the hot water in the shower head, otherwise no hot water while taking a shower. It was very inconvenient.

I wasn’t feeling well after a rocky cruise, and he went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Nothing

The location was first class, can walk from train station. We arrived very late from Napoli on the day of train strike and Andrea kindly arranged for us to be picked up. Breakfast was lovely. Andrea was a kind and perfect host.

Host and location

Comfortable bed, clean room, FANTASTIC view on the balcony of downtown Pompei and the mountains. We nearly rushed through a delicious dinner so we could get back to the B&B and enjoy drinks on the balcony. Andrea is an excellent host and kind person. He picked us up from the Naples airport after our train was cancelled (lesson learned - trains are very unreliable, take him up on his offer for a taxi transfer to Pompei), made sure our room was comfortable, WiFi connected, and brought us a lovely breakfast on our balcony the next morning. This was the best service experience we’ve had anywhere we’ve travelled. The location is central and walking distance to every restaurant in town and a 25 min walk or quick drive to Pompei Scavi. Nothing, we completely recommend staying here. I can’t imagine better accommodations with a more personal touch than what Andrea provides.

Location Person did not contact us by e-mail at the time of arrival so we did not know that we need a key, Also he charged us a town tax and took a cash from us even though we already payed the tax at the time of booking Also I got a skin infection because towels we not clean!

Our host Andrea was enjoyable and his English was satisfactory. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. Nice balcony porch with table and chairs to view the main drag. Larger room than ours had unobstructed view of Mount Vesuvius. The vintage elevator work flawlessly!

So many great things to say about the Pompei Palace B&B, from the location, to the ample-sized, well-appointed room, to the decor to the delicious breakfast. But the highlight of our trip was Andrea, our affable host. Truly, he is born to be an inkeeper/host, and I can't imagine there is a better one in all of Pompei. He is such a charming and warm person, dedicated to his guests satisfaction. It would have been a great stay with another host; Andrea made it EXCEPTIONAL. If you stay in Pompei, you must stay at the Pompei Palance B&B! That we didn't take a picture with Andrea, our wonderful host!
