Villa La Colombaia

Family owned property that made you feel so welcome. This was our second time staying here and the food, Service, and staff, are exceptional.

Breakfast buffet was until 10.30, one morning arrived at 9 not alot left, did mention this, was told that was it. Coming in the beginning of September, feel the hotel was concerned more about events,weddings ect. May have been more atmosphere in high season for hotel guest. Over all we where happy.

Rooms were clean and good size. Very comfortable bed. Slept great. Great pools and outside area. You can walk into the town altho not a lot to do there. We were 3 families who traveled from Ireland and like our tea and toast in the morning. The staff were very helpful in organizing this for us . Overall staff and hotel were great . Would definitely recommend . Would have liked a kettle in the room. Minor issue. Food menu could be improved.

Nice pool area with two different pools and relaxing atmosphere. Close to the Highway and therefore easy to access Naples with car. Great room. The breakfast (though cheap) was quite poor.

The location was a bit further from the center of Napoli, but with the public transport good to reach. Unfortuantely, sometimes there was no public transport, but that is how it works in Italy, I suppose. The last day we ordered a taxi via the hotel to go back to the airport. The first day we arrived via public transport. Both are fine, of course taxi is more expensive and more comfortabel. The breakfast was good. With my dairy and gluten intolerance, I was still able to have a good breakfast with corn cereals and plant based milk and fruits. We confirmed this with the hotel beforehand and again on the day of arrival. The personnel and chief was friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is very relaxing, sufficient places to rest and swim. The hotel is in a very peaceful area. We staid for a week in May. In the weekends and evenings there were several parties for communion feasts and anniversaries. Therefore we were not able to use the swimming pool at specific moments. It would have been better to communicate this with us before, then for us to be sent away. However, there was not too much noise from the parties. The only disadvantage are the bells of the church that make loud noices in the morning.

From the minute that we arrived, we were welcomed by staff who readily retrieved our luggage and parked our car in an adjacent lot. Our room was large, very quiet and quite comfortable and the bathroom was verry spacious and lovely with its beautiful tilework and marble sink. Breakfast was served by Allesandro and more than met our expectations. We plan to return when next we travel to Portici.

The night of the reservation I received a message from the hotel,that they have a problem with our room and they reserved a room for us in another terrible hotel. It was everything broken in the room, it smells like toilet, the breakfast was awful. This pleasure was only 105 euro....

V. Difficult to rate this as if you take into consideration the location, you deserve what you get. Naples is near impossible to navigate so it took me 3 hrs to find the hotel (which turned out to be a 20min train trip! .. way back is much easier to navigate than way to… ) not the hotels fault! Google maps! The staff speak basic/zero English (again,not the hotels fault, it’s their home) … so apart from that, the hotel was beautiful! Poolside beers in scorching 30” heat! What’s not to love! Staff were as helpful as they could be ! I was there off-peak season so it a lot of people around… if your in Naples and better than me at navigating back streets I’d recommend it cause the place was beautiful Staff don’t speak English (not a complaint just a fact) Local area difficult to navigate (not the hotels fault)

Excellent hotel. The owner and were super friendly. I was bowled over by the fact that they offered to pick us up from the train station that’s 10 minutes away, at no extra cost. And this happened 3 times when we were exhausted after sightseeing and came to thr via liberta train station at 10 pm. Rooms are also very spacious and comfortably accommodated 4 of us. Portici is a small place. So if you want to have dinner outside, choices are limited. Also breakfast options are limited in the hotel.

We booked this hotel as we were travelling by car & wanted to visit Naples but didn’t want to drive into the centre. Easy to find, very convenient for a stop over, just off the motorway. Good public transport links to Naples, 10 minute walk to Bellavista train station & 20 minutes into Napoli Centrale train station. Very helpful, pleasant staff. Good parking. Great continental style breakfast. Large, clean, quiet & comfortable room. Would highly recommend this hotel. Nothing
