Lack of privacy in dorm; no curtain on bunk beds. Bunk beds in other facilities have a curtain that can be closed.

I am a cyclist and the location was excellent to use a a home base. Portimao is a smaller town compared to Lagos and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. We had a private room with bathroom and met all our needs perfectly. The Hostel is in a great part of town centrally located so did not feel isolated. The main entrance was on a tiled pedestrian only street with many other store fronts. Their restaurant area is fantastic and can sit out on the main street in front of the hostel in a sectioned off area to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast and people watch; the locals going to work etc…. Parking could have been an issue in a busy time of year. We were there mid Oct and found a free parking lot less than 1 min from the hostel. Maybe they could have coordinated parking for their guests as it can/could a be a stress point for some.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Great property - the pool was great with a cute courtyard. The room was great - clean and comfortable with AC. I'm very happy with everything. We didn't use it but they also have a cute restaurant/cafe attached that you get 20% off from rooming there.

Great breakfast! A real deal. Simple, basic, clean place to stay at a good price. Just what I wanted. Some guests were noisy around the pool all evening but it stopped before it got late.

The property was a short distance to the train station, which was perfect for my afternoon flight. The staff were genuinely friendly and helped me change my accommodation at the last minute. The room was spotless, it was quiet at night, and the pool was an amazing feature to have when you just wanted to relax. The brunch place was good too which was easy to access. I also found the restaurants in the area to have some stellar food and a grocery store not far from the Hostel for other things. My stay was absolutely splendid and had friendly travelers as well. No cons for me, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Great kitchen, the pool area is an oasis, has good spaces to be out of the dorm rooms, air conditioning in the dorm room was a huge bonus Bathroom (male) capacity could be an issue at full occupancy

Please let everyone know that there was a key for the locker. My camera was stolen by my roommate—the police said there’s over a 90% chance that she took it while I was out for dinner. Right after I called the police and she realized there was CCTV footage, she conveniently left the room, claiming she had a flight at 10 a.m. the next day. How ridiculous. The theft,You believe in God, don’t you? Then I’ll say this: for what you’ve done, you will face consequences. Chinese people are very good at cursing wrongdoers, and since I saw your face, looked into your eyes, and heard your voice—I will put a curse on you for life. Every time something bad happens to you, remember this moment. That’s me, and that’s karma working through the universe to make sure you pay for what you’ve done.
