They were under construction. Which wasn't immediately obvious when checking in. I also remembered booking a room with 2 queen sized beds and got a room with 2 full sized beds instead. Barely had enough room to sleep in

    (2) Breakfast on Saturday: The hot food trays were empty. There was a line waiting for food to come out and coffee was running out. The food preparer was overwhelmed. I don’t know if this was a result of someone not coming to work or just a lack of preparedness, but it was very disappointing. (3) Pool/Hot Tub: We did not use the pool; we did try to use the hot tub only to find out that while the water was “warm” the jets were inoperative. There was also a drain cover missing on the floor of the hot tub

Great staff, room was clean, beds were made daily, complimentary cookies made daily, and I hope renovations goes well ❤️

Good location. Lack of maid Service ran out of towels, toilet paper. Need to go to the front desk.

While there is signage saying that they are renovating, this hotel is an embarrassment to the chain. The staff are fine, but the rooms are only marginally clean. There was crud and dust on half of the credenza desk near the floor. The mattress was tired. Parts of the laminate on the bathroom walls were peeling. I am not normally worried about sanitation, but... The continental breakfast was insufficient for the number of guests. I scraped the last serving of oatmeal from the bottom of the pot. There was no fruit left. Granted, it was 9:30am, and it was advertised as first come, first served, but the people behind me were left with crumbs. I will not stay here again.

It was terrible and management mishandled a situation.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

I must give credit to the front staff for being welcoming and courteous. I did forget items in the room and was able to go back later in the day to get them. Ask if renovations are complete before booking! There are plenty of other hotels nearby to choose from.

Close to downtown Portland without the high price.

Not only was this the issue, the room AC was not turned on so it was humid and stnk when we first entered. The toilet would not flush u nless i opened the back and did it by hand. When i tried to call the front desk the phone had no dial tone even though it was plugged in. In the end I walked downstairs again and ask to be put into a different room. The other room was on the other side of the building. In the end I would not recommend staying here. The only positive thing was the staff are nice. And to try and get expedia to compensate you is a joke. They called me to say they have a supervisor to speak to me. After waiting on hold for 17 minutes they came back on and said there was not one available and they would call me back. You called me!

Our room was old, but im sure will be updated with renovation. Comfortable lobby and outside area.

Luxury hotel prices for cheap motel experience.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The room we had was under construction and pretty rundown and also lights in the appliances on the walls which seemed like cameras, not positive but now I carry a camera detector bc of this experience

This place started off great. The lobby looked great and the staff was amazing. Very welcoming. Especially since the parking lot and trees are quite overgrown and driving in felt a bit like an abandoned place. Our room had an odor, the carpet was so questionable that I was afraid to find out how dirty it was. We were there for a very quick overnight so we didn't need much more than beds and a door, but it still didn't meet the mark. Breakfast the next morning was so embarrassing. There was a pot of oatmeal but most of it was in the trash from people who tried to take some, but threw out after trying it. Otherwise there was a very stale English muffin selection but no butter or peanut butter or anything. Then yogurt, milk and small containers of cereal. A large percentage of the counters were empty where electrical outlets were, so it looked like maybe it was set up for a full spread, but what was there was so embarrassing. Full grown men were coming into the dining area and getting angry. I'm not sure how many guests were there that morning, but when I came down at 645, there was enough "food" out for maybe 6 or 7 people, so even the quantity offered was confusing. Would not book again

we still haven't heard from the general manager. Very, very poor review. wouldn't go there if you offered a free night

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

I was worried based on reviews to stay here but it was really nice and clean. It did look like it was being renovated in areas. Our room was great. The pool area was out dated but functioning well.

    Awesome place to stay

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

First, it's clear they are remodeling and that it's overdue. The place was cleaned but dated. There were things like stained carpet, pool tiles falling down, hot tub pump broken with sign that made it clear it won't be fixed anytime soon, sad mattress. They advertised a included breakfast and the person at check in stated it would be avilable the next morning and pointed to the spot. The next moring we found oatmeal and toast and nothing else. When we asked at the desk about the limited food we were told there hadn't been a shipment in weeks. This would have been really helpful to know at check in.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine for an older hotel. If you are sensitive to the smell of cleaner, the rooms might bother you, but cleaner smell is better than others for sure. In the morning, the lobby floors were wet, they did give warnings about it but did not know why this occurred. It was raining outside though and the inside of the lobby windows were wet as well. The ‘included breakfast’ was toast or English muffins with jam, oatmeal with toppings and canned fruit cocktail. There was also coffee and juice. The woman at the front desk said ‘their truck did not arrive’ and also announced if you were a member she was offering 2000 points. I’m not sure how the morning situation was only an issue for members. We have vowed not to return, renovation or not.
