Holiday Inn Express Porto Boavista by IHG

Customer service (olga) was excellent from the moment we walked in. The manager and ladies were great too. Checkout out was simple and fast. Thank you for the great stay.

Staff was gentle and responsive. The bed was comfortable. The room air conditioning was effective and silent. The breakfast was good quality, not too many alternatives but all good quality. Excellent coffee. The bathroom floor was not very clean, and the room was quite small for two people and luggage. There was not enough space for hanging clothes.

Very clean hotel and helpful staff. I especially thanks for the housekeeping staff, hotel is super clean. Maybe you should make some variations in hot dishes for breakfast. Everyday scrambled eggs and beans served.

The location is close to the metro station and also near one of the hop-on hop-off bus stops (no 4). The hotel is really nice — it was a pleasant surprise to discover the TV guides with the city map and flight schedule information. The bed and sheets were perfect, and the power outlets with USB, standard, and USB-C ports were very convenient. The heated bathroom mirror was also a nice surprise.the lighting in the room was good! Nice and friendly staff I didn’t enjoy the bathroom ventilation system, as it couldn’t be turned off and it could get really cold. I would also recommend adding some protection pads to the restaurant chairs because they are quite heavy, and guests moving them during breakfast create a lot of noise. Additionally, I would suggest offering more vegetables at breakfast — there was only a tomato or cucumber option depending on the day.

An airport shuttle was listed. Did not expect that it would be 2-3 times the cost of Uber.

A solid, no-frills hotel. It’s not luxurious, but clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay. The staff are welcoming and contribute to an overall good experience. The inclusion of breakfast is a nice added bonus. Offering a wider variety at breakfast would also enhance the overall experience.

Very comfortable, clean, nice people and good breakfast .. Location, a little too far from the city ..

Location was a close and easy walk to two tram/metro stations. The on location restaurant was convenient. The next door store and petrol station were convenient. The oversized chair made using the provided desk very difficult. The windows did not block out as much road noise as other windows used across hotels in Europe.

When we arrived there, the front entrance door was locked, it was pouring raining and it took a while for the front desk cleark come to open the door for us. I have never seen a hotel with locked doors during the day. It was about 3pm. The location is a bit far from the center so we had to get taxis to the center and back to the hotel. There are plenty of taxis in the city so it's easy to get them. The buses not always accept credit card. So we gave up on waiting for a us and not taking our cards. We had no problems for buses in Lisbon. Even the cute old tram took our cards.
