Motel 6 Portsmouth, NH

Amazing staff, very clean. Pool was closed, door for exit at end of hallway broken/blocked, but fire exit nearby.

Was woken up all night from dogs in other peoples rooms barking and outside noise from parking lot people like to hang out in back lot and can be noisy

Room was dirty. Floors sticky, bathroom, was dirty. Sheet and towels we washed but stained. I have stayed in lower budget hotels before, and do not mind as long as they are clean. This room was not

The place is okay. Compared to similar places we booked for our trip, it is pricey for the room. The mattresses need to be replaced. Overall, it was okay. The staff was very friendly. There was too much smoke mixed with paint fumes. It serves its purpose for a quick stay.

It was easy to take my dog in and out. Atmosphere was friendly (staff and guests). Coffee was nice but donuts would appreciated.

Parking was easy and rooms ready when we arrived. Not much more to say. It's very basic accommodations for people who either cannot afford $500 a night downtown, didn't make a reservation a year in advance, or would rather spend their $$ on other things. Wish there were more pillows and towels (2 bath towels for 4 people was not optimal but we didn't realize the problem until 6am). Also although it's a nonsmoking property, the entire hotel smells like a place where people smoked heavily for years and then the smell has been covered by an overly sweet disinfectant. It's weird and a bit off-putting.

What an absolute dump! I can’t believe I paid $390 for two nights in a filthy room with my family. Bathroom reeked of cigarettes, every wall was covered in filth, the floor wasn’t any better. I can’t believe this is what almost $400 at Motel 6 gets you. NEVER AGAIN.

Smells like smoke, disgusting. Stay away

The floor was sticky - a dirty damp cloth showed that the floor had not been properly cleaned. The sound of revving engines from the road just outside the window showed that there was no double-glazing that would have damped down the sound of traffic and what seemed like a motorcycle race Cleanliness - the entire floor of the room was sticky. The front desk clerks were sullen and seemed not to like their jobs. The place was depressing.

The room was clean. The door to the bathroom was hard to close. We had a medical emergency on the morning we were to check out and when we came back 45 minutes before 11 our cards didn't work so we had to go back to the lobby. A minor inconvenience but when you're not feeling well it felt very unnecessary.

Stayed 1 night before a college tour with my daughter. Arrived late-around 9pm, and there were several men hanging around outside which made us feel a bit unsafe. The front desk staff was prompt and courteous. Room was very clean and air conditioned. Mattress was very average and people hanging around the hallway and outdoor area smoking cigarettes, despite signs saying it is a “smoke free property.” The coffee in the morning tasted old. It was fine for 1 night.

We asked for a refund and they refuse because they said we had stayed over an hour. We stayed an hour and a half, so that there was time for us to look for another place.

Location, we just did a quick one stay to break up our trip. The bedding was clean. It is very old. The towels had holes in them and it wasn’t very clean -hair left in the sink type of stuff. It was a very small room. And I think people lived there.

This place was rather sketchy. From the people drinking and smoking to the the guy sitting in his rather strange vehicle. It’s not a place I would stay in again
