B&B Alta Marea Pozzallo

The room was perfectly nice. Comfy bed. Shower was nice and hot and good water pressure. Room had a fridge, A/C, and heat. It was loud and noisy until 11:30 pm because of the restaurant directly below the rooms. If you're an early sleeper, don't stay here! When I see someone advertise a "bed and breakfast" I think quaint and cozy with an attentive live-in owner/host. That is not the case here! The rooms are very sterile like a chain hotel, but fine - just not what I was expecting. Getting checked in took some time and there isn't someone just waiting to attend to you. In addition, the breakfast was off-site - so it's not a quick and easy emerge-from-your-room-eat-and-leave experience. You must have time. Plus, the breakfast was just pastries so if you're looking for protein, you won't find it there! I would not stay here again.

Could be cleaner. When we arrived nobody would answer the door and the man in the shop next door came to help when all the time the 'receptionist' was inside. We were given coupons for breakfast at a cafeteria just down the road which was fine as it had excellent coffee, granita and pastries. The only thing is that it remains closed on a Tuesday so 4 breakfast coupons were wasted and we had to find somewhere else to have breakfast.

Comfortable and location

The room itself was clean and comfortable and there is a communal seating area outside. The breakfast voucher was really good and there's a pizzeria downstairs. I had to wait over an hour to get into the property late at night. I had to ask the pizzeria staff to call reception, with limited English this was difficult. After they called I waited outside for an hour feeing cold, tired and upset!

Nice clean and cozy. Close to train. Downstairs is an excellent pizzeria with hamburgers. Room was large with a balcony. Water pressure not so good. Breakfast ok but power outage meant no cafe! And hot water was reduced. Never these a good space. It took a long time for responses. When I arrived I had to wait to he to be let into the property . A great property I guess out of season they are not at the property but a little disappointed with response to questions.

The rooms got changed when we need it them. And rooma was clean Cleaner dont clean well like rubbish she never change it. She dont clean daily

Easy check in better than last year when I had to wait over an hour for someone to let me in It is key code now which is excellent No one ever at reception so I suppose if something was wrong it would be difficult to resolve

Convenient location, great price (if booked early) - staff were lovely enough to check me in before check in time (contact via WhatsApp if you can’t get through as reception is not always attended). You get a breakfast voucher for a coffee and croissant at a cafe down the road. Can be a bit noisy at night - there is a restaurant downstairs. Small kitchen available but only for breakfast.

Exceptional

An economic break between the Malta ferry and further travels in Sicily. Easy to locate and relatively central to Pozzallo’s centre. Tired bed linen.

The location was perfect. It was so small, my room. The staff wasn’t really there. I could barely reach them. In the shower there was used bag of shower gel. And the mini bar was empty even tho it was indicated on the fridge what was inside. Also it was so loud all night.

The room was nice, the location was excellent and the cafe for breakfast was also good for lunch and dinner When I arrived I rang the bell but no answer after 90 minutes I rang as it was after 11am check in time and still no answer. People next door arrived and he rang and got on. The woman said she was 2 minutes away but more like 10. I would have preferred to know I needed to ring as I had sent a message saying I was arriving at 10am and the message came back that it was fine but nothing to say I needed to ring or she would not be there till after 11 Once checked in it was great
